Re: The omnipotent God.
And yet the spiders are innevitably still here. Also those parasitic wasps only existed for a short time, long after the dinosaurs became extinct.
With your faulty logic, we would expect the human race to already be immune to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Of course this not the case, because the HIV virus only very recently started infecting humans. Over the course of many generations, the humans that acquired a trait that resisted the HIV virus would be the individuals that survive and reproduce.

. But I think your questioning of God is understandable. I've been a Christian, just a plain Christian all my life (notice the lack of trademark signs
). You won't find what you are looking for on this site, many/most of these people are biased. But I hope that this helps. God exists. If you don't want to call Him/Her 'God' you can say 'Spirit' 'Universe' whatever you want to call your personal sense of spirit/higher power. To answer your question, God allows people to make up their own minds as to whether they will follow him. That was how sin began. Eve 'stole' a fruit from the only thing God asked her not to touch or eat of, and shared it with her 'lover and husband'. He was disappointed and ashamed of them because they made up their own minds to go against Him. He tolerated it though. And he didn't fry them because they chose not to. Every human has their own choices and responsibilities. And God will allow the consequences of those choices to continue without intervention, for better or for worse, if you don't ask for or seek Him. In truth, that is the only power of prayer. When you pray, you're asking for intervention or favor from the Almighty to change a situation for the better.
