The King James translators did a marvelous job with the materials they had. While this article is necessary to point out the KJV errors, it should be noted that the errors, omissions and additions made by the RSV, NIV, and other modern translations are much, much WORSE!
Mistakes in the King James Bible (KJV)

The verse(s) in question are given first and then what is the correct or Correction.Genesis 1:2

KJV: "And the earth was without form, and void; . . . "

Correction: "And the earth became without form, and void; . . . "

What is the source material of this alleged correction? Is it the Masoretic Text, the LXX or something else?

We don't visit those links because we are bored with them. Do you honestly think that people of true and unwavering faith are even slightly put off by some biased nonsense by militant atheists?
