Wow! I saw a pie recipe the other day and it had a pastry recipe that I know for a fact had the wrong amount of flour in it by some arbitrary standard I am applying a hundred years after it was written. Therefore there is no such thing as pies.

But the cook of your pie recipe did not claim to be 'all-knowing'. That's why he can admit mistakes without anybody doubting his view.

No, I don't think they are. There is some kind of need and will for people to believe. Beliefs also make sense as something, a group has in common and can hence better resist against the storms of life. And yes, that's also a version of evolution.

But it's somehow easy to dis-proof any divine being. 'Good' and 'evil' do not really exist as absolute values and can depend on the situation and/or on the individial. What is good for one, can be bad for others. That is the main proof, that any God does not exist.

Here's where you are wrong.

Good and evil DO exist as absolute values. They are decided by God.

Obedience to God's commands = Good.

Disobedience = Evil.

Your problem is that you're bound up in secular humanist relative morality, instead of recognizing that God determines what is good and what is evil, and that we humans are not in sync with Him in many cases.

That is why we rely on the Bible rather than "conscience", which can be manipulated by our desires, or our fears, or Satan.

No, wrong. If a lion kills you, is it good or bad? Bad for you. But good for the lion.

So, still good and bad depend on the viewpoint and are not absolute values.

God in his Bible says 'Thou shalt not kill' which was clearly aimed at the human population (lions can't read, write or understand God's word). Best you take it up with God as to whether it applies to a lion or not, not me.

In case you hadn't noticed the secular law doesn't say anything about lions either (it is unlawful for a lion to take a cab and run off without paying the fare etc).
