I'm in complete agreement with Mr. Pearson. I do not force my beliefs on others, why should you try to force your beliefs on me? What happened to 'Love thy neighbor?'

If I'm evil or 'possessed by a demon' because I take the time to talk to people and get to know them personally regardless of beliefs, race, sexuality and numerous other factors then yeah I'm evil. You can't judge a book by its cover, but that seems to be what you guys are doing because it says so in the bible.

For example: I've known my closest friend since we were 12, (13 years) and he has recently come out as gay. When he told me NOTHING changed. He is still my closest friend, we still hang out all the time, the only difference is his sexual preference.

If that would have happened to one of you, what would you have done? Would you drop one of your closest friends because of something they could not help?

I don't know if you are saying that Jesus contradicted the rest of the Bible by saying to love our neighbors. Jesus was very clear on who we were to regard as our neighbors.

Also, the Bible is full of instruction that we should rebuke others for sin and educate them in the Good News©. You are saying there is another passage that contradicts this? I think you are just a damned confirmation seeking atheist.

God does not smote people the instant they wrong Him friend. If that were the case, God would kill every baby the second they were born.
God has not killed your friend to give your friend time to reconsider what he is doing. God wants us to love and adore Him. So He gives us every chance possible. God may inflict heaps of misery into your friends life as an incentive to get on the Right Track to Jesus.

If my best frind were gay, I'd have to shun them immediately and pray for thir rapid death so as to stop dishooring Jesus. I would also seek out a Pastor and tell him about my near gay experience to seek guidance.

As delightful as you've all been, I'm getting bored of arguing with scripture and brick walls who can't think for themselves. This shall be my last post. I just want to add that it's not just what I think, it's what the entire world thinks, it's what every logical person thinks. theres the geneva convention, and laws across the entirety of the world that prevent what you're trying to propose, so it will never happen. If anything, you're likely to get locked up for it, as several authorities will already be watching this forum, I'm sure of it. Good day ladies and gentlemen, enjoy suffering for going against everything your god taught you to work towards.

I think you greatly underestimate the number of people who very much base their entire moral and philosophical code on the Bible.

Stick your head in the sand if you like. You're just not used to people unafraid to actually stand up for their beliefs instead of shilly shallying around the dicey bits just so you'll be their friend.

Every one of them (soft Christians), if they're remotely honest, thinks you're going to burn forever in Hell. They just know you'll be upset if they say it and it might upset them a bit so they avoid thinking about it. So you carry on saying we're extremists just because we have the balls to be honest about Christianity, if you like.

Hello, just a first comment before I begin. Let the logical people deal with the definitions of words. An agnostic atheist is simply someone who admits there may be a god, or gods, but isn't certain which is the right one.

That is incorrect.

An agnostic atheist does not believe there is evidence to believe in a god (atheist), but also realizes that humans can't know everything about the universe or know the nature of God (agnostic).

Every argument you make that "yours is the true faith" can be opposed by every other religion.

At least you're smart enough to recognize that all the other religions are false, and we can't just "coexist" and "find separate ways to God".

Ok, main point in hand. Let's say Atheists were to start a petition to list every Christian in their area so they couldn't preach without being arrested. You'd call that being persecuted, wouldn't you?

I never once said the other religions were false. In my eyes they're all false. The use of quotation marks means I was paraphrasing something you'd likely retort with or that each religion would argue over. As for the secularist agenda, I've looked around, and the only people who think there is anything remotely resembling an "atheist agenda" are paranoid christians. Do a quick google search. If it was an actual a movement in progress, there would be something about it.

Name your local supermarket, car make and computer, and I'm sure at least two of them will have been made by atheists. I said I won't bother citing statistics over that? did you happen to miss the nice link I DID give? of all the christian religious figures who have been caught in sex scandals or the like? Finally, we do come here speaking of equality and human rights, love for all mankind, and the idea that no one should ever take that away. The only reason people are coming here to "preach" is because we found out about this idea of yours, and thought it was sickening. We should put it on a nice poll somewhere, and see how many people (especially christians) disagree with your idea. If you simply went about your lives, we wouldn't care. Everything would continue, you'd go to work, eat your dinner, kiss your wife or husband and sleep. Life would be the same as ever, but you of course think you can do better, by ruining the lives of everyone who doesn't agree with your personal views. You're even condemning other christians who might disagree with this. If you ever DID manage to do this, there would be wars, and likely the abolishment of all organised religions over such drastic measures in the long run.
