    Don't watch Avatar!

A warning to TrueChristians™! Don't watch the satanic movie, Avatar. Me and the wife went to see it because we misread the title as 'aviator' and figured it was about our brave air force pilots blowing the daylights out of the Afghan jihadis. Instead, they gave us these funny glasses that made these half-naked green ladies come jumping out of the screen at us. The heros turns out to be these eco-savages who only Al Gore could love while the patriotic military leader and capitalist are turned into villains.

I normally don't go to the movies, but I especially don't go to ones that glorify Hindu dieties.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

What a strange message to put across; I'm sure that people will avoid this like a leper with cholera.

Now COME ON!! This has to be a joke... Everything said by you people must be a joke! Avatar was an excellent movie. You could not have possibly misread the title. You must have gone up to the ticket counter and asked for tickets to see Aviator and they would look at you and say " Did you mean Avatar?" The acting was brilliant and there was some great plot development and character depth. And this is a made up planet and religion and it is not based off Hindu deity. Please tell me you are not serious... This is a parody website correct? because Freehold Iowa does not exist!

So you think its good for children to see a movie where the good guys are green skinned savages who hunt with bows and arrows while the villains are the soldier and the Capitalist? Don't you know anything about what made Christian America great?

How does it change it from being a fundamentally anti-Christian (and therefore Anti-American) movie? The movie clearly attacked the capitalist system which Christ Himself approves of and celebrated a collection of nature worshiping savages who clearly valued their environment over the welfare of other people to the point of committing murder. It maybe well executed, it may have good special effects but there is nothing redeemable in Avatar from a Christian perspective.

First of all... America is a SECULAR nation. The country has no official religion. We should preserve nature and all it has. (Just to be anal they are blue-skinned) And how is it Anti-Christian? Capitalism was formed to encourage competition between companies an other businesses. The movie was clearly explaining how our own greed will cause us to become maniacs and do whatever it takes to keep our pockets full which was probably why the earth was in such bad condition so they needed resources from other planets. I am sure that the writer of this movie had no intention of this being an anti-christian movie and i really doubt that it is. So what if they hunt with arrows? we hunt with guns and even kill our own people. They are just a less advanced species in the sense of technological breakthroughs that we have. No Anti- christian or anti American thoughts popped up in my mind while watching this brilliant movie. It's rated PG-13 for a reason: so the audience is at least somewhat mature (in most cases) to know it is fiction. Corporate greed is a popular and universal theme used in countless plays, movies, books, short stories, and other works. Try hounding each and every one of those and i assure you that you will be tired.

The message that the greed of God's own Chosen Elect while operating under His guidance would destroy His gift to us is an intrinsically anti-Christian statement. All it says is we Christians don't listen to God and God is to incompetent to stop sinners from doing what they want to His creation.

Anyway any planet we would discover in space would logically also be created by God for us to exploit as we see fit. Any hypothetical aliens, like in Avatar, would be squatters on our birthright. The rank disapproval of such Godly use of Jesus gift to us shows the blatant loathing for Christianity by the Hollywood liberal elite writers.

I saw the movie. I was impressed by the special effects (3D and all), but not so much about the underlying premises. I will elaborate.
                          • The indigenous population was rather scantily dressed and technologically underdeveloped, yet they were presented as morally superior??

                          • Promotes self-hate: that's us there who are being portrayed as the evil species. We were building schools and even learned their languages, yet we were the evil ones??

                          • Dubious stance on God: the existence of "deity" was measurable and provable through scientific means. They could even physically interact with it. Where there is proof, there is no choice between Heaven and Hell.

I would recommend that IF one goes to this movie, to hold a Bible & prayer session with the family FIRST so as to be morally prepared.
I take my orders from Jesus H. Christ, supernatural born US citizen

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
                          Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

Its one of those Hollywood movies designed to appeal to children but actually has the purpose to weaken the resolve of good Christian Americans and make us sympathetic to GreenPeace nuts and weird foreign cultures. The ex-miiltary guy is made to be the villain for simply defending property rights of the mining company against the local savages on a jihad for their nature religion. Not a word is mentioned about JESUS as the true way of Salvation.

I don't think the Ex-Military commander of the operation is made out to be the villian for simpily defending the property of the corporation. He and the "capitalist" authorized wanton acts of aggression against the passive inhabitants of the planet all in the name of profit, while ignoring the property rights of the inhabitants. I know Jesus would never approve of such an action, he would not allow the oppression and slaughter of the peaceful people. The full assault on the tree of life could only be considered a war crime of the highest degree, it was nothing but wholesale slaughter and I think we can all agree that it was morally reprehensible.

I Don't think that just because a species is not as technologically superior to anouther does not mean it is morally inferior, The Germans were technogically superior to us at the out break of World War II were they superior to the triumphant forces of democracy? The movie did not really paint humanity in a negitive light in my opinion, I think that it showed how powerful the spirt of humanity is, The main charecter (whose name escapes me at present) He sees the injustices and succesfully overcomes the technologically superior foe even though he is out classed in all respects. The Lord had to be working in that some where. "Set free the oppressed, break every yoke, clothe the naked, and your light shall break forth like the dawn, and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard." I am pretty sure that comes from Isaiah.

All in All I think the movie teaches important moral lessons about the dangers of capitalism run amok and how man can be tempted to commit evil acts in the name of greed, and that even one man when he stands in the name of freedom can make a world of difference against those who would enslave and kill the weak.

(also I adjusted the quotes but only to correct spelling mistakes)
