Sister Mary your God driven wisdom always reads so true here in Gods favorite forum. People fail to identify that their smallest (and obviously largest) shortcomings derive from running on self Will. When will these Heathens realize that it is Gods Will for us not our own, that will guide us to Heaven and an eternal love for Him.

God, grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change, your courage to change the things I can and the wisdom you granted me to show me the difference.

I now know a new freedom and a new happiness. I regret my past and I have shut the door on it. I now comprehend the word serenity and I will soon know peace. I have been relieved of the feeling of uselessness and self pity. I have lost interest in selfish things and I am now guided by Gods Will for me and obey His word with everything I do. In my home country of Jamaica we are tolerant of atheists but we like to chase down homosexuals and hang them from trees. That is not popular in Babylon because of the embracement of sin here. I know I'm really late into this conversation, like 2300 posts late. I apologize about that. However, this thread is getting ridiculous. There are certain aspects that people are not quite grasping. Let me just get the obvious statements out of the way. TF2 is bloody, but in a cartoony way. There is no sort of homosexuality in TF2. There can be swearing and mockery, but that is for competitive and humorous aspects. And most importantly, the soldier doesn't promote antinationalism. He's just there to be, like all other classes, a mockery against the enemy team. Do I recommend this game to anyone? Sure as long as they're above the age of 13, maybe 14. If you can't handle the violence, but want your child to play, let them play the gamemode called Mann vs. Machine. Instead of fighting against other players, you play against robots. It also promotes teamwork, and there is literally no gore in that gamemode. Really, it's a good game as long as you guys feel comfortable with letting your children play it. Now please just get over it; there is nothing else to talk about. If you want to be rebellious to my opinion, just watch gameplay on YouTube or play it yourself. You'll understand where my perspective is coming from.


P.S. I know I'm done with TF2 talk, but I have a quick question. Why on the church's banner states, "Unsaved Unwelcome." Isn't that a tad bit rude especially if someone wants to go to your church to be saved?

You have some points there that are undoubtedly valid within the framework of sin and depravity. They might be valid also in the Biblical framework if you had provided some verses to back up your position. Unfortunately, you seem to have forgotten to do that so, please, let me enlighten you!

Of course it is rude; again, within the framework of sin and depravity. We would obviously like to entertain everyone and tell them what they want to hear and that way they would all stay here thinking that "aren't the Landover Baptists nice apple-pie-grandmotherly people! They are so nice and confirm that we can go on fornicating and sinning and Jesus still loves us". We'd really like to do that and get positive feedback but we can't because we do not obey your cravings. We obey Jesus. He tells us how we should socialize with unbelievers:

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

It is not our duty to pamper unbelievers. It is our duty to tell the World about Jesus and how His will is expressed in the Magnificent Bible. This is more urgent than ever as the End is nigh and Jesus will re-enter the Earthly atmosphere any day now. That is the thing to worry about - compared to that your anecdotal opinions about this game that I have never played nor ever will (I know all there is to know because a brave person tested it and has reported that it is sinful) dwindle into pitiful insignificance.
