Now Ben, you know perfectly well, we are Baptists, living and breathing the KJV1611 Bible. Those passages you showed do not exist in our True Bible.
On top of that, you have attempted to misconstrue sections. For example, your own comments in this thread, would be very easy to pick and choose sentences, organize them in a particular fashion to spin what I wanted. But I'd never do that as it would be dishonest. You are not dishonest, are you Ben (you do not mind me calling you by your first name, do you, I feel like we are good friends)?

You do know that we have lawyers on staff, right? I, myself, am an attorney. Just thought I would tell you in the interest of full disclosure.

Now, we have explained that we love each and every one of God's precious creations. We love them so much that we will do anything to ensure that they get into Heaven. ANYTHING! If our version of tough love offends you so much, let me ask you this... what would you have us do? Would you rather we pretend that the Bible says things it doesn't? Would you have us act like those crazy John 3:16 fools who teach their flocks (falsely) that God was never mean and all he does is love people and that there really isn't a Hell and that all you have to do is "believe" and you will go to heaven?? That is tantamount to teaching you kids "There are no monsters, son. You can do what you want and nothing bad will happen. Don't worry about rapists and child molesters." Next thing you know your kids get in a van with blacked out windows because some freak had candy and you find them 3 weeks later dead in the local dump. I won't try to make my kids feel better right now at the risk fo them burning in Hell for all eternity. Your instinct to avoid the tough love is one of Satan's strongest tools.

God DOES DO horrible things in the Bible. I don't know why he does them, but he does. If you accept ONE premise...that the Bible is true, then you MUST accept that God works in mysterious ways but that it is all for the best. Do I know why he instructs people to dash newborns upon the rocks? No! If God didn't order people to do that would I be horrified by it? YES! But he did, so I don't.

So...in the end, I want to live forever with you in Heaven. I hate that I have upset you, but I would rather that happen than to see you "get in the van."

I do not need your God to be safe from monsters or from hell. If I accepted your God, then all I would be doing is accepting the greatest monster of all. You admit he does horrific things. There is no justification for them. An omniEnter text here.potent god wouldn't have to resort to such cruelty. He simply would have changed the way things were, instead of drowning the world. He was able to mess with reality enough to get EVERY species of animal onto the Ark, a clearly impossible feat, so why didn't he just change reality in other ways? Don't just say "God moves in mysterious ways" Gabriel, actually ask yourself that question. WHY did my all-powerful God choose to kill each and every person on the earth, except for Noah's family? I'm quite aware that the world had supposedly turned against God, but then he couldve revealed himself in all his glory, and converted the world within moments. He did not. He just murdered. He is evil, and he is the epitome of the monster that you tell me I need him to protect against.
