    Re: Hi guys.

I was right to warn them against this place, you people are insane, completely insane. All they need to do is look through the forums at your disgusting actions and towards others, or even the words in their own thread.

They have clearly stated they are agnostic - do you not know what that is? Aussie is looking for answers, they want to know about beliefs, they are not an atheist, they believe there is something, they just doesn't know what! Really, why is that so hard for you people to understand?

Posts such as: 'Baloney. I'm pretty sure you've already made your mind up to be a God-hating atheist, you just aren't man enough to commit to it.' are completely unfounded and uncalled for - you do not know them, you do not know anything about them.

      Re: Hi guys.

It was automatically deleted. We Run our server on JesOS 7 that is programmed to detect false Christians who start to preach their own heresies on this site.

However, in my generosity, I have allowed the post.

I hope you will behave a little better after that incident - I don't want to be chasing round after sinners.

As for Brother Nobar's comments, you just wait, Aussie Agnostic will turn out to be a full blown, ocean-going atheist before the week's out! He's chosen that name to try and fool us that he has some intention of being a True Christian™ - which he has NOT! Brother Nobar detects these things by inspiration from Jesus.

Devon, you don't have anything further than a small child's education about what is in God's Holy Word, while I have been studying it for over 20 years.

You have not ever read it and we proved it last night. You are a false prophet who makes up your religion as you go along instead of studying the Word.

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

What's hard for me to understand is how you manage to dress yourself in the morning without falling out of a window. The irony of you yelling at us for not knowing what an "agnostic" is and then giving an INCORRECT definition is PRICELESS. For the last time, i will post this info from a prior thread. I will then go and make a new thread about this so you stop confusing all the other atheists. Here is my earlier post to another fool who couldn't be bothered to open a dictionary:

Let me ask if you agree with the following definitions taken from dictionary.com:

            atheist — n
            1. a person who does not believe in God or gods

            agnostic — n
            1. a person who holds that knowledge of a Supreme Being, ultimate cause, etc, is impossible

            be·lieve – v
            1. to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.

If you do not agree with these definitions, I humbly submit that your visits here are done since you are altering the American language to make yourself feel better.

Once people start altering reality to fit with their emotional desires and irrational fears, you end up in crazy town with a bunch of people talking nonsense to make each other feel better.

Now, assuming you DO agree with these definitions, (and maybe even took the 60 seconds to look them up yourself), let's reexamine the syllogisms I posted right above your last reply. (The ones you ignored.) Actually, let's focus on the second one since it addresses the core of your confusion.

            1) An atheist is one who does not believe in any gods.
            2) An agnostic does not believe in any gods.
            3) ERGO: An agnostic is an atheist.

Now go back to the dictionary (or if you are too lazy or in too much denial, scroll up to the definition I pasted for you) and read the definition of "believe" again. Now...let me ask you one simple question:

Do you currently believe any gods exist? Or, substituting the dictionary definition of believe:

Do you to "have confidence in the existence" of any gods? Since the agnostic position is that they can never know if there are any gods or not, these means that you do NOT have "confidence" in the existence of any gods. So, since you do not believe in any gods, we go back to the definition of an atheist and find that you satisfy it. You are currently "a-" (without) "theistic" (a belief in gods); or "without a belief in gods." End of sentence. Full stop. It doesn't mean that you are not open to the possibility that some evidence might be presented to you sometime in the future that would convince you of the existence of a god, it just means that AT THIS TIME, you don't believe in any gods.

Please point out where I have gotten ANY of this wrong, but please do NOT whine that you don't LIKE being called an atheist. Like I said: as soon as you start trying to change reality to fit your emotional needs, you step into crazy town.

I hope this helps you see the error of your ways and prepare yourself for eternal torment in Hell's lake of fire. Take care!

PS: I just had a thought. Perhaps you are confusing "agnostic" with "weak atheist?" There are strong and weak atheists. Strong atheists assert that not only do they not believe in any gods, but that there is enough evidence to actively believe that there are no gods. (A subtle but important difference.) Weak atheists merely say that they do not believe in any gods, but that you can't ever say that "there are no gods" because, no matter how unlikely they think it to be, there just might be something out there that qualifies as a "god."

Both types of atheists are going to burn in Hell equally because the Bible makes it very clear that God accepts nothing but full, complete, unquestioning belief, but it is nice to come to a full understanding of yourself before meeting the Devil, wouldn't you say?
No stop screaming at us for being ignorant when you don't even understand the core of the discussion we are having on even a DEFINITIONAL level.
            Yours In Christ,

              Re: Hi guys.

Devon, you don't even have anything further than a Sunday school education about what is in God's Holy Word.

You have not ever read it and we proved it last night. You are a false prophet who makes up your religion as you go along instead of studying the Word.
How did you prove I haven't read my Bible? Because I wouldn't give you quotes? I don't need to and I don't want to. Entering a scripture-quoting war is not any way of using the Bible.

I am not any kind of prophet and I have never claimed to be. I do not make up my religion, I have faith, I follow the teachings of my saviour, I read my Bible and I try to live the life that Jesus wants me to. He guides me through the storms as well as the peace. I try to bear the fruit of the spirit. Where is your fruit? Kindness, gentleness, goodness, etc? I see none of them here.

I had a wonderful day today. I went to my church's Christmas service, and we were in our new building for the first time, the snow stopped some people making it, but it was a good turnout nontheless, with the guest speaker sharing the word, the children doing a little play, singing of hymns and carols . . . and then we all had a fellowship lunch together. That might be 'fluffy bunny' stuff to you, but that is the love between a family in Christ to me. No hatred or anything like this place.

You do not know me, so please stop pretending you do.

If it says something that resounds with my personal morals, then I believe in it. Gee, maybe I am making up my own religion? Uh oh, better not admit that to them.

                      Re: Hi guys.

Thanks, but actually I did get the definition right, and I do know the difference between an agnostic and an atheist.

                      atheist — n
                      1. a person who does not believe in God or gods

                      agnostic — n
                      1. a person who holds that knowledge of a Supreme Being, ultimate cause, etc, is impossible
'If you do not agree with these definitions, I humbly submit that your visits here are done since you are altering the American language to make yourself feel better. ' Regardless of this, your definition of the latter isn't quite correct - which dictionary are you using? I am not Medling with the American language - for starters that word isn't American, it's English word coined by an English Biologist called T.H. Huxley. Different dictionaries may also have slightly differently phrased definitions, unless you have 'the perfect dictionary'? However, this site combines book-definitions, so all are covered.

                      This is from: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/agnostic
                      Ag-nos-tic
                      –noun
                      1.
a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as god, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.
                      2.
a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
                      –adjective
                      3.
of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.
                      4.
asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.
There are big differences between those your definition, which you didn't source, and the biggest online dictionaries' (which also matches my Collins Dictionary) definitions. Yes, both agnostic and atheist beliefs do not specify belief in God, but the latter suggests the person in question is confused, in doubt, or are uncertain of the existence of a 'supreme being' because of lack of knowledge (hence why I said Aussie is looking for answers, and why she is asking you questions) but also may have a sense that there is something out there, as many agnostics do, because that is what leads them to ask questions.

I have said time and time again that I HAVE read the entire Bible. The unforgivable sin is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Is that going to change your opinion of me, prove in any way that I have read my Bible? I highly doubt it. I believe the Bible should be respected as the word of God, not used in scripture battles as you seem to wish of me.

When you first posted, Devon, you insisted that Landover's members and other True Christians™ like myself are not behaving in a "Christian" manner.

I asked you to point out where we err in following God's Commands in the Bible. That is what you accused us of doing. You said we are wrong; your opinion of "right" and "wrong" is not relevant, but God's is. God's Book tells us what He has decided is "right" and what is "wrong". So, if we are doing something wrong in God's eyes, the Christian thing to do would be to point it out, don't you agree?

You see that as a "scripture-quoting war". However, the Bible is what tells us what it means to be Christian. Christianity is about following God's Commands. Do you follow God's Commands, Devon?

My guess, from your posts so far, is that you do not. You are deciding for yourself what YOU think is "right" or "wrong", and then adding that to your own personal (extra-Biblical) definition of what it means to be "Christian". You are then attacking those who follow the Bible instead of their own personal feelings, and their own likes and dislikes or their fallible human "logic" or human sense of "justice".
Please tell me, Devon, other than the trappings -- the words of the hymns, the dialogue in the play, the choice of decorations and food served -- how was your event more "Christian" than a similar event at a synagogue or mosque, Devon? How about such an event at an Elks lodge? A senior citizens center? A community center? How did your event being "Christian" make it different from a block party?

They all feel the "love of a family" in their holiday services or special events. What makes yours "Christian", and for that matter, why was "Christianity" needed? Is it just the rallying point around which you all congregate?

Just normal, traditional Christmas carols and hymns by Charles Wesley and some others.

The Play was a sketch about the love of God in giving us the gift of Jesus and how we should focus our praises on him this Christmas. No decorations in the church as it has only been opened for the service today and still needs work, in the dining room, there were coloured plastic tablecloths and it was bring and share so there were lots of different types of food. Soup was also served like every other Sunday, it was parsnip and apple.

The presence of God among us is what defines us as a Christian fellowship. Are you insulting my church now as well as me? You make your accusations with no knowledge of the people, our ministry, anything.

Also, aren't you going to reply to my previous post? It seems to be a trend here to ignore anything you can't answer or reply to and make up a load of unfounded accusations in response instead. Or do you have nothing to say on my explanation of what an agnostic is?

What makes you think your church has the presence of God any more than mine does?

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I don't need to know what type of church it is judging by the product they turned out.

Where does fidelity to God's Word factor into your definition of Christianity?

You seem eager to quibble over the definition of agnosticism and other irrelevancies. I believe that you do so because you are unwilling to confront the real matter at hand: your disregard for Scripture.

You pick and choose which verses you consider to be valid and worth following, as if you have a say in the matter! It does not matter what my opinion is, and it does not matter what your opinion is. All that matters is what God commands, and you are apparently more than willing to just throw the majority of His Word under the bus.

I realize that you have a strange aversion to discussing Scripture on a Christian forum. But tell me, son, what do you make of the following verses? Do you accept these, or do you reject them?

                              Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

                              Deuteronomy 12:32
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

                              Matthew 4:4
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

                              Romans 15:4
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

                              James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

                              I Timothy 4:13
Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

                              Revelation 22:18-19
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

What I really want to know is, where does the Word of God factor into your worship? Do you or do you not accept every last letter of God's Word? Is it sufficient to have a meal and go to childrens' plays with people who call themselves Christian, or do you find it necessary to obey the instructions that God left for you?
                              II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

That's all great quotes, but it's not the point if you agree with them or not, it's what you do in your life that's important.
It's much better to do some good actions for people and being generous and helpfull like Jesus was for the sick people and stop with staying home and reading the whole book.
