I finally felt myself in the hand and in the light od God

"All Scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (Timothy 3:16)

First of all I ask you all to excuse me if my English is not so good and to be indulgent to me if I make mistakes: God wanted me to be an Italian native and resident, grown up in a Catholic family where (unfortunately) the Scriptures were the object of a misleading "interpretation" rather than of a literal application. But God also showed me, with all his grace and compassion for my sins, the right path and helped me, as I hope, to find people who, like you, believe with no reserve, to His literal Word.
My religious beliefs have changed through the years from a "standardized" credo to an ever increasing belief in the Scriptures, which are the only instrument He gave us for salvation. After my wife's death, I had the privilege (I often call it "the Gift") to open my eyes and to understand that the religious education I've had was too loose and I am now trying to better understand how I can improve my way to Salvation from the Catholic misleading context I've lived so far. I am trying to teach my two sons (10 and 6 y.o.) that God is the Lord and the Master and that they must not believe to all the rotting messages that come from the contemporary society and surround us with misleading theories, that - mostly dangerously - also come from other members of the family: my father-in-law last referred to my changement with these exact words "an ill conversion".
Help me find the right way.
May the Lord be with you all and show you His light

I am glad that JESUS has brought you to our forum, that you may give up your sinful, swarthy Italian ways, and be reborn in His True Congregation!

I know that the pagan Catholics probably corrupted your mind greatly, and I will try to keep that in mind as you post.

However, I must alert you that we use ONLY the King James Version of the Bible.

All other translations are not welcome here.

        Thanks to you all.
Just one question: do you refer to the 1611 or to the 1769 version?
Is the internet site: http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org reliable?

          KJV 1611 is best.

Thank you very much. I'll use this version from this moment on and will impose it to my children. Do you think I can keep the other version I have (Conferenza Episcopale Italiana - Revised Edition 1994) at home?

              Absolutely not!

That sounds like some Roman Catholic blasphemy!

                A cautious welcome Brother,

many of the people who come here call themselves Christians but are worthless trash. They don't respect God's word and just select the 'hippy Jesus Love in' stuff. They will burn with the atheists.

Re: I finally felt myself in the hand and in the light od God

Thank you very much for your welcome and your instructions, that I humbly appreciate very much.
Only a repented sinner will pass through the narrow gate to see and live in the Light and according to the Word of God.

As a former roman catholic I was obliged since childhood to read and meditate upon the roman catholic version of the Bible.
The indications of Pastor Ezekiel are illuminating for me, as only now I understand that the way to salvation for me was so far endangered (if not hidden) by the misleading interpretations given by those heretics, as the Word of God needs no interpretation.
In this perspective, I have a question: my education was a classical one, i.e. I followed a study plan that included both ancient Greek and Latin. I was wondering if you consider reading the Bible directly either in Latin or ancient Greek as a danger. A consequential question is this one: you have certainly understood that my fear now mainly concerns my two sons, that are too young to read in English properly and will begin their Latin studies later.
Do you think that I am entitled to read and translate for them the Scriptures, as I have destroyed the roman catholic versions I had in Italian?
I personally feel it is my duty to do so, but I may be in error and would really appreciate Your advice, as it is a very delicate phase of my life I am passing through, especially if you consider that the loss of my wife is posing me very urgent problems that concern the correct way to grow up my children, who are badly influenced by my parents-in-law.
Thank you in advance for your interest and all you'll make to let me undestand where I am wrong.
May the Lord be always with you, Brothers.

Of course it is! Do you think for one moment that Jesus spoke Greek or Latin? And why would God The Father speak a foreign language to His People?

Re: I finally felt myself in the hand and in the light od God

Thank you so much for your kind and illuminating answer.

The real problem now for me is that we are Italian natives. I can read and understand English (sometimes with the help of a dictionary), but my sons are 6 and 10 years old and speak and read only Italian
My elder son has been taught English at school but only at a very elementary level, the 6 year old, on the contrary, will start English lessons next year, although I teach him some words when the occasion arises.

Now my dilemma: I destroyed all the copies of the Bible I have at home (as they are not the KJV version) and am reading, myself, the KJV 1611 in American. But so far I used to take my children every evening and make them read the Bible with me, and of course it was an inappropriate Italian version (may the Lord and you all forgive me for this).
What will I do tonight with them?
Do you consider it appropriate if I read with them the KJV1611 Bible in American and then translate it for them in Italian?
Of course my sons will be both obliged to learn English as I was (to be honest I also try to teach them English at home), but before they reach an acceptable level time is needed.
Do you have any suggestion on this matter?
Thanks again for your advice to all you Brothers and Christians

Have you read my series of sermons on the subject yet? I certainly hope so! I'd love to discuss them in detail with you!

At present, the best version of the Holy Bible is written in English. The one that God dictated directly to King James, in anticipation of the founding of America after it was pre-stolen by the savage injuns.

Re: I finally felt myself in the hand and in the light od God

Thank you very much, Pastor Ezekiel. I read them all this morning (we have a difference of 6 hours from where You are) and I must confess that in some passages I found them difficult, because of the arcaich use of English syntax that I was not taught (I speak the so-called modern English). I will endeviour to better read, understand and meditate upon it, as I feel that the Lord wants me to do this for my salvation and I am so thankful to Him for finding this site.

As for the second issue (that is at present worrying me very much), if I understand well, your advice is that, as a father I read and explain the KJV1611 Bible to my sons, translating it to them, or am I wrong?

(I beg your pardon, but parenting can be very difficult when these problems arise and I cannot appear to my son as "undecided": my younger child asked me where his Bible was and I told him I had detroyed it, telling him that there would be a better one that - from this moment on - we will call "the true Bible". I also told my boys that Daddy will read the Bible and explain it to them from now and their reaction was positive, which made me happy).

                            Am I wrong somewhere?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
God bless all the Christian Brothers

The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independent Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year."
