With great humility and respect I ask to introduce myself.


My Unsaved Trash title is fully deserved, as I do not attend any church, and have yet to read more than a few snippits of the Bible.


I do arrive with open heart and mind, and earnestly supplicate to those willing to offer their selfless guidance, thus help me fill the near empty niche in my frontal lobe I have reserved for faith in the One True God.


I stumbled blindly upon this site, then was inexorably drawn to it by the gravity of abundunt truths found herein. We could call this my first baby step out from the darkness, but that wouldn't be the truth.


The truth is this. I heard some questions which begged an answer. They went something like this.


"He has condemned Satan to hell yet gave him dominion on earth instead of imposing his sentence, in other words, a reward! Justice delayed is justice denied. WHY DOES GOD WAIT!?"


I though about it, and it made me grrr mad. Then a light bulb went off in my head. Not literally of course. The Bible is to be taken literally, not the scribbling of mere mortals.


Far be it for our mere mortal minds to fully comprehend God's agenda. He is a busy deity. I could imagine him still working six days a week. I could understand that with his current mundane workload, you know, wars, plague, famine, tsunamis, that He's a busy God. Add all those prayers to answer, daily miracles and his Son's upcoming birthday, then it should be abundantly clear for us to understand that it will happen when God is good and ready for it to happen. If you want it to happen, then pray for it to happen, then get over yourself, okay?


Planning the apocalypse and all its minutae is hardly a small matter. It's been imminent for only a couple of thousand years. That's just a blink of eye in God-time. Why the rush?


Surely God has given that man something better to do than spew some crazy notion that he knows what is better for us than He does. The man just needs to suck it up, and get back to praying and proselytizing, right?


One more thing to think about while we're waiting.


Aren't Satan and his cronies on some sort of house arrest pending the outcome of their appeal? The prosecution might be stalling, knowing full well Satan's propensity for screwing up will land him in more trouble, perhaps resulting in consecutive eternity sentences.


I mentioned earlier that I have only read snippets of The Bible. This one is currently my favorite. There is no real explanation why, it just feels good right now.


Psalms 16:11 (excerpt) - at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

When we do not understand the LORD's ways, we may yet rejoice in His promises. People often get hung up on the small details and expect every aspect of His Plan to make sense to their sin-addled minds.

People run into all sorts of difficulty when they try to think for themselves (Proverbs 3:5-6). Frankly, why people who do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them to guide their discernment try to grapple with such complex spiritual matters is beyond me. It's simpler to just accept Christ, get Saved, accept the Truth of Christian doctrine and go from there.

Well said! I'm glad you could answer your own question.

When you recall that the entire universe is only about 6,000 years old, it's a really short time compared to eternity.

Bear in mind also that God knows everything, including the future.

That means that before He created Satan, He knew Satan would be evil. Yet He made Satan anyway.

What does this tell us?

It tells us that it is God's Will that Satan prowl the earth, testing the faith of the faithful and deluding the weak with video games, pornography, and Disney movies.

Why don't you read the Bible?

But the Earth is filled with people like you – do you think it is pleasant for us True Christians™ to have to share this planet with vile, sinning ignoramuses? That we enjoy having to explain the blindingly obvious? That our suggestions for improvements to a godless society go unheeded? That our words, which are God’s Words, are as seed cast upon stony ground?

God, in His Mercy, sent Satan to Earth – compared with Heaven this is punishment enough.

Please accept my sincere thanks for taking the time for such a comprehensive reply, Mister Pastor, and all the other emminents who have shown interest in my quest.

The bulk of my life has been squandered. I was being led astray, blindfolded and in bondage, by God haters, under the guise of science and reason, in California no less, and very close to the modern Sodom and Gomorrah we call San Francisco and Berkeley.

They poisoned my soul with their vile lies, so much so, that I still harbor many of their devilish notions; equal rights among all people, the universe is billions of years old, humans evolved from lower species, Disney movies are great for kids, etc.

Only God knows when we are born and when we die. My feeble mind can only look at it actuarially, and that shows that I am well past the halfway mark. Thus not much time remains, with coming apocolypse and all, to expurgate all the irrelevant and irreverent mental vomit that has marinated my brain.

The only thing I'm qualified to comment is my own ignorance. At best I recognize the huge undertaking in front of me. I am under no illusion that it will be easy or painless, but it needs to happen, and how, and now.

Some may consider me to already be a lost cause, not worth saving. To them I say, let God decide (like He hasn't already, duh!).

Some may see a glimmer of potential in that Clamper. To them I say, I too see a glimmer. It's distant, but its light and warmth are unmistakable. It is the light of the love of God. I'll march forward, for the love of God.

Hopefully I'll get there, don God's armor, and join the fight to end evil in the world.

But right now, temptation is calling. I have the Redskins and eight points. Got to go.

I have reread both the TOC. It is succinct an unequivocal. I hereby reaffirm my agreement to abide by it.

I have also reread my rights. I fully recognize the authority assigned therin. I avow to conform with others who have received their approbations.

Praise God, my friend! Indeed, I read the questionable post you were rightly infractionated for and could only clear my mind after private time and prayer in my study.

You see, some of us here have lived the lurid filth you described, and are walking away from such wickedness and sin with the help of Jesus Christ. And you must always keep in mind that many young children are on their father's laps every evening reading our Godly forums, for Bible Study and homeschool research assignments.

Few here accept infractions and learn from them as you have done. Nothing more than a gentle tap on the shoulders from Jesus through our men of God. If He would frown, we will to.
