    Peace in Jesus Name

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,9

You've just read my favorite Bible verse. It brings me hope when I'm sad, cheers me when times are tough, and gives me the courage to face tomorrow with confidence.

I was introduced to Christ through friends that attended a Bible Baptist Church when I was 17. Before that, I was a very arrogant girl. I disrespected my parents and friends, thinking that being popular and pretty were all I needed to get through life. I wasn't happy with the Methodist church they attended; people seemed very distant and unwelcoming. When I visited my friends' church, it was a breath of fresh air.

I send my love to all with a sincere wish that you'll welcome me.

I understand what you mean exactly. I was exactly the same, but my parents are Godless heathens and will perish in hell forever. When I first joined this site I was a self-righteous liar and a filthy vegetarian. Thanks to the good True Christians, I now eat meat 3 times a day and strive to tell the truth! I'm glad you found sanctuary in a good Baptist church.

Thank you for welcoming me, Mr. Pendergast.

I have not married and have no intentions of it at this time. I date often and I do have one man that is very special; he is Korean and assists at the services that our church holds for people speaking that language. Although he's tried to teach me, I find it difficult.

Obviously, since I am not married, I have no sons (but I hope to have a daughter should God will it).

Where are you from and what church is your home?

                Faith Machine,

The Bible Baptist Church was in Rockford, Illinois. It's a rather small congregation yet so full of loving people. One of the young men of the church drove through 11 inches of snow to help one of the ladies there when the power went out in her home in neighboring Belvidere; I could share lots of stories of Christian discipleship like that. I moved, but I still visit now and again.

I'm a little taken by surprise about why everyone wants to know about having children, etc. Your post has several things that made me uncomfortable. I have many wonderful acquaintances and friends that are devout Catholics. We have visited each other's churches and I find the ceremony of the mass to be a beautiful and reverent experience.

When a "fine Christian fellow" catches my eye, and indeed one has - but not to the point where I am in love with him - it will not be because my father has anything to do with it.

                  I'm praying for you.

                    Miss Tanith,

I am sorry that your parents are not Christians, but there is still hope. "...fervent prayer...availeth much." I had to smile when you said "filthy vegetarian." I limit my meat intake very much, although I am not a complete vegetarian. I generally limit myself to one meat dish per week, and then only white.

We've all told fibs in our lives; if you've confessed these sins to the Lord, He has forgiven you and has forgotten them. Psalm 103 tells you that your transgressions have been removed. We serve a wonderful Savior.

You'll be in my prayers that you'll forgive yourself because I assure you, Jesus has. Where do you attend services? What is the origin of your last name? There is a member of our congregation whose last name is Tanithe. She told me it is Phoenician and Gaelic in origin, so I assume yours is a form of that?

I hope we can become friends. I have explored a little here and I am surprised by certain things I've seen; I suppose there will be unkind and unusual people no matter what site one visits, eh?

You may be surprise to see True Christians™ acting out in True Christian™ Charity, as Christ compels us to convert sinners around the globe to the right religion (Matthew 28:19-20). Hello Mary,

I love the name Mary. My best friend is named Mari

Sweetheart, perhaps you didn't notice that I am unmarried; I am not about to engage in illicit sex and bring a child into the world without a husband. I am not prepared to marry just yet and that won't happen until I am more established in my career. God does indeed hear our prayers; I am no longer considered a sinner in His eyes. I will continue to pray, and share Him with others.

As I say with anything that comes my way that the devil sends to offend me: "Water off a duck's back." I press on knowing that God is greater than anything on earth that tries to discourage me.

Thank you. I'm a little unattached to it myself, as I was raised my Mary-worshiping papists. To be named after such a tramp is a bit unsettling, if I do say so myself, but I look forward to the day when I am given a special White Rock with a New Name written on it, just for me (Revelation 2:17)!

Well, according to God's Own Holy Word: No. But hey, if your conscience tells you differently, why bother reading the Bible at all? Why not just call yourself a Christian and go with it? Hey, why not call yourself the Second Coming of Christ while you're at it?
