I do not see a faculty for “Christian Studies” or “Theology” or “The Life of Christ” etc. Why would God love such a place?

Hi,
After reading this page, I just had to register so I could have a say in this.
I am myself from the Faroe Islands and the things said on this page are incorrect.
1: The name, Faroe Islands, was given to our beautiful islands when a munk came travelling to them a long time ago. It comes from the old nordic word for sheep, since this munk saw so many sheep on the islands (and we still have a lot of them).
2: Yes we are only about 48.000 people on the islands, but no we have some how managed to keep the inbreeding at bay. We have several sources of ancesters (Norweigian, Irish, Scottish and so on).
3: The Faroe Islands ended under Danish rule after several wars and disputes a long time ago. Today, we try very hard to prepare ourselves for the day we gain independants from Denmark, and have taken over the governing of several areas like primary education and the church.
4: The Faroe Islands are a Christian country. Our state religion is Christianity. We have even built our laws and legislation on the 10 commandment.
5: Our national holiday is Ólavsøka, named after the great King Olaf of Norway. King Olaf made sure that all of Norway and the Faroe Islands was turned to Christianity.
6: I have never know any one to perform witchcraft or any other ritualistic things in the Faroe Islands.
7: Alcoholism is a growing concern in the Faroe Islands, like it is in most other countries. The law says that no person under the age of 18 is allowed to buy alcohol, and we have a monopolized sale of alcohol. You have to go in to a special store to buy it, and there are about 6 of these stores spread about in on the islands.
8: The Ram on our coat of honour is a symbol of the sheep we have on the Faroe Islands. They used to be our main source of income way back in the day.

And to note on the comments on our flag, it has a white base with a red cross that is lined with blue.
