I was heartened to read that the Republicans in Congress refused to do anything about the Flint situation because "the costs were not fully offset by other cuts in federal spending". That is just one example of Leadership and enlightened government by the Republicans: nothing should cost anything. You can only buy something if you give something up of equal value. It's your problem, you pay for it. I'm alright Jack.

We must keep in mind that Flint, Michigan is the hometown of Michael Moore, whose YouTube account appears to be mmflint. He could use all of his wealth to assist the water problem by buying enough bottled water for everyone since he is worth $50M thanks to capitalism, but I doubt it. I believe that he will sit around and eat greasy food like a pig all day.

Little known fact: Flint, Michigan was named after my great-great-great-great grandfather Pastor Nehemiah Flint. My family once owned that town. Long story, but my godly ancestors sold it (at a handsome profit) when the dagos started moving in.

I would like to see a news report about Michael's pneumonia as I saw of Harry Reid's fall and of American Idol's final season, which I posted in one of my threads. I will pray that Moore will renounce his greed, gluttony, hypocrisy, and his pick-and-choose liberal theology, which promotes homosexuality and abortion.

Ehem, returning to the main topic of this thread.

The Flint water eats through not just lead pipes, but basically through everything. Now the Flint Fire Department is complaining that their trucks - including a brand new one purchased in 2014 - show rust that should not be there so quickly (it should have taken several years if not decades to build up, if the water used was actually water). With unusable fire trucks and most probably flammable water, Flint residents are seriously screwed - God must really hate this town!

The blame can be placed squarely at the feet of the residents of Flint, MI themselves. As you can see from this reliable news source, the lead in the water supply actually comes from the water pipes of the houses in this slum town.

As the article states, houses built before the mid 80s often have lead in the water pipes. The mid 80s, that's about 30 years ago! Who lives in houses that are over 30 years old? Poor people, that's who. They chose to live the poor lifestyle, then they squawk about the consequences and sit around waiting on the government to give them handouts.

Why don't these people just move to Detroit, another haven of the poor lifestyle? I've heard that you can buy a 3-story mansion there for around $1000, plus their water is clean. I have no clue how much a crack rock costs, but I'm sure a colored in Flint could sell but a handful of crack rocks and be able to scrape up $1000. They're just lazy.

Instead of thanking Godly Governor Rick Snyder () for quickly getting the needed emergency supplies to Flint after the news spread about lead poisoning the city residents for two years, now the malcontents are trying to sink him again:

When the Flint water disaster exploded, the state began sending emergency supplies to the city: millions and millions of dollars worth of bottled water, filters and cartridges.

Detroit Free Press reporter Paul Egan's front-page story this week suggests the state overpaid for those supplies, to the tune of hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars. Egan found that instead of using a formal bidding process, the State went directly to Georgia-based Home Depot to buy the supplies. And it failed to seriously seek bids from Michigan companies.

In response to Egan’s report, Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich of Flint called for an investigation into how the state bought those water supplies.

“Every dollar wasted could have been used on providing services to families in Flint that were affected by this,” Senator Ananich said. “We should always be trying to use taxpayers’ money wisely.”

The state’s reliance on Home Depot as its exclusive supplier has also raised questions. According to the Free Press report, the company has ties to one of Gov. Snyder's top aides. That connection deserves further scrutiny, Senator Ananich told us.
