Making guns illegal means they will be much harder to come by reducing the probability that a criminal would possess one.

Guns are strictly controlled, getting caught with one wins you some jail time, as a result gun crime in the UK is very low, I'll admit it does happen but when it does it's usually criminals fighting amongst there selves so no loss there, and no accidental shootings of unarmed innocent people.

It seems like yesterday when I was teaching my oldest to properly handle a weapon and the emphasis on safety.

"Hey Dad, how do I know if the safety is on."

"Just pull the trigger son!!"

Children are never too young to learn how to protect themselves with a firearm. Which leads me to this unfortunate story. Think Canadians are safer with all their gun control? Think again.

9-year-old boy killed by shot fired into Brampton home

A 9-year-old boy has died in hospital after being shot in his Brampton home on Wednesday night.


Police identified the victim as Kesean Williams, a Grade 4 student at Sir Winston Churchill Public school.



A single bullet was fired through a window and into the boy’s house, hitting him around 10:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police Const. Thomas Ruttan confirmed.

Try going to Northern Ireland for example. You can pick up anything from an Armalite to a .50 cal machine gun from any one of the "Old" IRA Terrorists.

Gun related crime in the UK has risen since the retarded Labour government banned the ownership of firearms by the public.

Also being caught with an illegal firearm does not mean prison. Just look at all the terror suspects found with bombs and guns who have been let off because they are immigrants and go to the ECHR to appeal thier casses.
