In a truly Holy act that will further restrict the use of baby-killing in the USA, the GOP is redefining rape to represent a more Biblically accurate version of God's Law regarding whores and their victims. From the story:
If you can believe it, the LIEberals are actually complaining about this! They point out that this would also rule out abortions by silly girls who let themselves get drugged by a date rape drug and end up getting pregnant. Or even by women who are insane or retarded and get raped by their caregivers and become pregnant:
I wonder if ANY of these pinkos have read a Bible in their whole life? The insane and retards are that way for a reason!
The insane and retarded are possessed by the Devil. This is because something they did or their ancestors did. Being raped by a caregiver and becoming pregnant is Divine Justice, obviously.
Next, the Republicans know that the consistent message of the Bible is that God wants women to stay inside and away from men whenever possible. If they DO have to go outside, they should go with male family members. Example:
Even if the girl in Deut 22:23-24 was raped, she is to be executed. THIS is why you stay inside and only with men you know! God knows best.
Finally, as this Godly Christian points out, why are they makign a big deal out of this? There are only a few hundred (or thousands, his report is based on a lot of estimates and stuff) of rape pregnancies each year. So why raise a stink about it? Why attack the Bible for only a few hundred or a few thousands of women each year? We all know that God acts in mysterious ways and all of these rape babies were God's will. These women should give birth and raise them as soldiers for the Lord.

Rape is only really rape if it involves force. So says the new House Republican majority as it now moves to change abortion law.
For years, federal laws restricting the use of government funds to pay for abortions have included exemptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest. (Another exemption covers pregnancies that could endanger the life of the woman.) But the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," a bill with 173 mostly Republican co-sponsors that House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has dubbed a top priority in the new Congress, contains a provision that would rewrite the rules to limit drastically the definition of rape and incest in these cases.
With this legislation, which was introduced last week by Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), Republicans propose that the rape exemption be limited to "forcible rape." This would rule out federal assistance for abortions in many rape cases, including instances of statutory rape, many of which are non-forcible. For example: If a 13-year-old girl is impregnated by a 24-year-old adult, she would no longer qualify to have Medicaid pay for an abortion.

"This bill takes us back to a time when just saying 'no' wasn't enough to qualify as rape," says Steph Sterling, a lawyer and senior adviser to the National Women's Law Center. Laurie Levenson, a former assistant US attorney and expert on criminal law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, notes that the new bill's authors are "using language that's not particularly clear, and some people are going to lose protection." Other types of rapes that would no longer be covered by the exemption include rapes in which the woman was drugged or given excessive amounts of alcohol, rapes of women with limited mental capacity, and many date rapes. "There are a lot of aspects of rape that are not included," Levenson says.
Matthew 17:14-18 (King James Version)
14And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, 15Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. ... 18And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
