So what is the difference between honouring and worshipping? Because it sounds like the exact same thing.

You even refer to her as "the mother of God". BLASPHEMY! God has no mother! God always has been and always will be.

-Do you honor you mother and father or do you worship them?

-I meant to say Jesus: Mother of Jesus.

I honor my real life mother - I have yet to kneel in front of her, pray to her, display statues of her in my house, etc, etc...

Mary is not the 'Mother of God', she is the mother of Jesus. God has no mother. Wow are you confused!

I respect my father, not honor him. He is the head of the household. My mother is not a saint,. Her function is to cook, clean and bear soldiers for Christ. I place neither on a pedestal, proffer no gifts nor adorn with praise. They are parents, nothing more. They make no law, only follow them, as do I.

As I said we do not pray to her. Statues are merely artwork. We kneel when we pray.

Also (to above) I said it was mistake a few posts up.

                But then you say -

                We kneel when we pray.
Make up your mind, pagan. Don't you know Jesus hates Mary?

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

                      Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
                      Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

                      Amen.

Le:26:1: Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

De:4:14: And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
De:4:15: Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
De:4:16: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

Psalms:78:56: Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

Psalms:78:58: For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.
Psalms:78: 59 When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

Oh right. What would I know? I'm just a born Catholic who's been Catholic my entire life.

Seriously, it's my religion. I think I know a little more about it than you people. Also toAbove poster) We do not kneel to the images we kneel to God.

The picture I just posted proves otherwise.

Also, the act of the Eucharist comes from scripture just that the whole "Do this in my memory" part is taken more literally.

How do you ask her if you don't pray to her?

What about the Hail Mary Prayer?

Google "the prayer to..." and you get pages and pages of different Catholic PRAYERS to different saints.

                              Or what about this?

A book of Catholic saint prayers published for Catholics.

Huh? When did I say we pray to Mary? I said ask her to pray for us. And it's easy. While praying I'll say "Mary, pray for me. I'm going through a rough time."

Also, I like that you provided a link to Hail Mary. Did you read it? Because right there it says:

                                "pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death."

And like I have also said several times we ask Saints to pray for us just like Mary. Example: Saint Jude is the Patron Saint of hopeless causes so I'd say "Saint Jude, my friend is really sick. There's not a good chance he'll make it. Please, Saint Jude, pray for Chris."

The prayers you reference are all in that same manner.
