i am a christian and have read this article in its entirety. I sur, am astonished. Lets face it, your most convincing evidence were your pictures they were vary obviuosly fake, but let me ask you a question if the world is flat how is it that people can take trips around the world. If the world were flat it would be obvious it would have distinct edges that would be easily spotted. How do you explain the fact that nobody has ever seen said edges. Now, when it comes to the passages you were refering to they are not ment in litteral terms they were metaphoric. Before i end my statement, let me also state this, God loves all his children regardless of or views on him you may not ever get to stand by those pearly gates if you dont cherish his words but that doesn't change the fact that he loves you.

That's not true. God hates the sin AND the sinner, and Jesus is God (John 10:30 I and my Father are one.).

Lev 20:23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

Hosea 9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

Please read the WHOLE Bible before it's too late.

Before you complain about the the fact that the verses I cited were from the Old Testament, as if that somehow makes them worthless, consider this:

In the Old Testament, it says that God hates "all workers of iniquity" (Ps 5:5).

In the New Testament, what does Jesus say that he is going to do to these workers of iniquity? Is he going to love them? Is he going to be their pal, and tell them that it's ok to be themselves? Let's see...

Matt 13:41-42 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I attempted to read this thread, but then this overwhelming rage filled me and I could no longer continue. I have read the holy book, it is a King James version that my preacher gave me years ago, but I know when to take it literally and when to think about it figuratively.
You are blinded to the truth, because you refuse to accept it. First of all, 'ends of the Earth' is a metaphor that's been around forever, meaning that it is an unimaginable distance away. The four corners of the Earth are, of course, North, South, East, and West. I can't even...
Before you get defensive though, I just want to ask a simple question. Just one simple, easy question... how are we able to fly an airplane, or perhaps take a boat, from the East coast of America, past Africa, Europe, and Asia, and eventually arrive back at the West coast of America? That, my friends, is all the proof we need that the Earth is round.
After reading this thread, I think I understand how Galileo Galilei felt... poor guy.

Oh, I see. You've come here in hopes of converting us to your fluffy-bunny religion where everything you don't like the sound of is automatically relegated to the position of "metaphor." So the earth's four corners is a metaphor. Is Noah's Ark also a metaphor? What about Jesus' temporary death? His glorious Resurrection? His ascension through the clouds, straight above Israel, out of the atmosphere and directly to Heaven? Also a metaphor?

There are BILLIONS of species on the planet. They range from huge to microscopic. How, may I ask, did he accomplish that? How did he get the polar bears from the arctic, and then somehow manage to get the penguins from Antarctica?

If you read the Holy Bible, you'll see,

Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
Genesis 6:20

"kind" and "species" are not the same thing.

If you reject the flood based on your 'logic' what are your thoughts on a virgin birth and someone raising from the death after three days? Did these things happen?
