Hello Dear brother James, I have just returned from my Bible study and what a wonderful experience it was for me. I plan to continue it weekly. So very very enlightening.

The reason I did not quote any scripture, nor did our dear brother Redeemed Papist for that matter, is because the dispute we were having did not need scripture as any evidence. The evidence is everyday when we wake up in the morning and look outside.

As devoted Christians I think we can all agree that the word of God is the final say in any matter. Regardless of the situation, God's word is final and will end any dispute. However, and please point it out to me if I may have missed it, but It is never stated anywhere in the KJV Bible that the sun illuminates all of our flat earth at once. So the issue im having here is with Redeemed Papist's picture clearly contradicting the KJV Bible by showing a fully illuminated earth. Whats more, we know very well that when it is Daytime in the wonderful USofA, it is night time in Australia, yet Papist would have potential new followers believe otherwise with his picture.

The point is, Papist is a well respected member of this site and is supposed to be showcasing the fact that he is an exemplary Christian. How can one properly following his example though when the picture he uses in every post contradicts the KJV Bible and contradicts everyday life. When I found this thread looking for conclusive evidence, it was this picture posted by a high level member of the site that continued to throw me off from the truth.

While we all strive to be the best Christians that we can be, we are human and unfortunately will succumb to the trappings of being human always. And that includes making mistakes along the way.

If anyone can back with scripture that the lord lights the entirety of our planet at once, then i will apologize for having called into question Papist's picture. However, if it is indeed in the scripture then there will appear to be a very fundamental problem as we all already know as fact that at no moment is the world ever fully illuminated.

In my zeal to participate and immerse myself in the bible study class, I unfortunately did not bring this point up during the question and answers segment of the study. I will be sure to do so next week however. God Bless you all my brothers and sisters.

Yes, God tells us we don't need to think for ourselves. All we need to do is worship Him until we get lucky and He kills us.

Then you have admitted the fact that the picture you so proudly display cannot be backed by the KJV Bible, and isnt backing all things with scripture a fundamental aspect to prove the validity of anything? As it cannot be backed with scripture we can thus conclude that it is contradictory to the Lord's word. I am not attacking the Lord, i am BACKING his word. The one true word, and his word does not support Papist's picture. This we know to be true for it is not in the scripture. Yes it might appear to be a 'one trick pony' to you, Brother Papist. However when a person like myself or any other is looking to strengthen his bond with the Lord's word through Baptist Christianity, but at the same time sees a well respected member of the sect portray contradicting imagery of the Lord's word, it can make a simple process become needlessly complex and confusing.

I am deeply saddened that I have received a private message from Jedediah asking if i speak to the Lord in the same sassy way that I speak to Pastor Ezekiel, when all I have been trying to do is find biblical scripture to support our dear brother Papist's picture. Pastor Ezekiel is but a man, no different then myself, and he shall receive the same great deal of respect of any other man that I believe to be righteous. However, comparing the way I speak to a man and the way I speak to the Lord is not valid at all. The praise, adoration, respect, and loyalty that I use when speaking with the Lord, cannot be replicated when speaking with a mere man, for the Lord is my first and mightiest Love in this life and the next. Everything else will always come second.

I see something afoul now. My eyes have been opened. I see now that when a newcomer is asked to provide scripture by an elder of the site, and they are unable to do so, the elder immediately denounces them as false.

Should a newcomer actively seek to find scripture to support a questionable aspect in an elder's post, or should this newcomer ask for support in doing so, and no scripture can be found supporting the elder's claim, then STILL the newcomer is denounced as false.

I shall pray for each and every one of you on this site dearly, for I love you all as my brothers and sisters. I one day hope that dear Papist realizes though that his continual false portrayal of our flat Earth is in no way better then the false portrayals of a round Earth that atheists use. I can expect this kind of behavior from an atheists, for they know not what they do. From an enlightened brother of the Baptist faith however, it makes me deeply saddened and calls into question if perhaps a more thorough process is necessary in determining who truly deserve to stand within the highest ranks of the righteous few.

Brother Ezekiel, Papist, Jedediah, and others, i wish for you to know that you will be in my prayers on a nightly basis hence forth, for I know in your hearts you too live a life of strong beliefs and convictions as myself and that is something that can never be taken away from us. But I also hope that we can all strive to further improve ourselves and realize when we too, may on occasion be wrong ourselves. 'Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud'.
