Considering my intellect has surpassed simply going to ask a science teacher; I am able to think on my own of how this phenomenon would have occurred in nature. A butterfly, that is just plain silly; interesting choice though, considering we have proof that caterpillars turn into butterflies (and yes you can watch this in your lifetime)

Oh yes that is what I did; I am being sarcastic. It's seems that on this forum I have to spell everything out to the T. Next thing is you'll tell me that 1+1 does not equal 2. Seems like when someone points out the plain truth you have to make an exuse to deny it. As a matter of fact, much like many anphebeon fish today, they have developed legs to walk on the sea floor or lakebed.

Just imagine how many more of the things you think of as scientifically accurate because someone who was mistaken told you something with no actual evidence but their authority and you sucked it right up...

I was trying to explain it in a simple way. Wind and weather still play an important role in the coriolis effect. I'm thinking that you don't already, but never listen to a weather forecast again if you don't think this exists.

An autocorrect function can do a lot of things - some hilarious - one thing it can't do is invent new words.

You are not going to see it RP. If all it needs is legs to climb out of the sea then why haven't I seen an octopus walking along the beach? I know why, it's because they it would die immediately. Just like what would happen if a fish grew legs.

Ok, so a fish though 'mutation' grows a bit of a lung and then climbs on to the beach. What happens next? IT DIES! So it's genes are not passed on.

It needs fully working lungs to survive. How can this happen with the slow process of evolution if all it's predecessors are dead on the beach?? The survivors are all happily in the water with their gills.

Evolution is a lie.

Okay, maybe I do have bad spelling, spelling is not science. Autocorrect did not catch it for me. The way autocorrect works is that it does have an initial database of words, then as the user uses it, it records works that are most frequently used, therefor if one tries to spells an unusual spelling sooner or later it will see that spelling as correct.

I may not spell well, but I am very good at math and science. At least I can admit that.

So, that is your idea of evolution?

If a mutation like this can happen in a matter of weeks, why is it so unbelievable that it can happen over greater time frames?

I have to say this to prevent any insane rebuttles. A caterpillar is simply the larvae of the butterfly, fetus in the insect world if you will. So it is only an example of how diverse life can be.

Whether or not the universe was created by god or itself, I would still think that the big bang did happen and evolution is correct. Most people can't image enormous time scales or numbers, this is why early humans resorted to shorter time scales.

Life is so diverse, therefore it is hard to track its evolution; the Galapogos Islands is the best place though. The true evolutionary tracks exists in sedimentary soil and rocks.

Ok, it went from one rock pool to another holding it's breath. That is as impressive as me swimming underwater for a length of the pool. I could do that a million times, I would not grow gills just as the octopus would not grow lungs.
