I believe that one of the questions you asked was ". . . also how does one side of the flat earth gets lighted up and at 9 pm in us but 9 am in Japan I am confused". As the sun move across the sky on the flat earth, mountains will block the sun in some parts of the world depending on what time it is. That's pretty simple and obvious even to the casually educated person, and everyone has heard of shadows - it works the same way.

As to not falling off, well even most scientists will tell you it's due to gravity. You don't need a sphere for "gravity" to work - just mass, and even a flat earth has mass.

Your continuing display of uncommon stupidity makes me suspect that Jesus has struck you for some egregious sin in your past. You might try starting a thread in the prayer request section of this forum and come clean with Jesus.

1) JUMP!
Fun experiment to do in your car: Begin by accelerating to a speed of 30mph. Now have someone throw a ball straight into the air. The ball will go up and subsequently come back down, right? Speed up to 45mph and repeat the process. Same thing right? Since the ball was inside the car, it will accelerate with the car. This can be repeated and replicated at any speed. So, if the Earth were round then the speed of the Earth means that everything in contact with the Earth moves at the same speed. Just as you move with your vehicle. As far as jumping in a flatbed, ever been in windy weather? If you throw a ball up, the wind will push it in the direction the wind is moving. Imagine you are in a car, you stick your hand out of the window and what happens? It gets pushed back due to the wind pushing it. If you are traveling down the highway in a flatbed and you jump up, you've essentially "stuck your hand out the window thus pushing you away from the car. This is "Wind Resistance".
2) BLOW!
Centrifugal Force: An outward force produced by a spinning object.
Another experiment you can do: Ever get on your park's Merri-go-round? Standing at the center of the ride will allow you to stand there with ease as you watch everyone else as they stand further out fly towards the edge and sometimes fly off! This is centrifugal force, a very observable phenomenon. For a object to have it's own gravitational force that is one to be observed it must contain GREAT mass. Whether an object of mass has it's own gravitational effect on another object is not relative to the ratio of mass(balloon:paper). That's why you don't get sucked into large buildings of much greater mass than yourself.
3) GET HIGH!
For our final experiment: Take a piece of chalk and on the pavement draw a very short, straight line. Now draw another one with a slight angle to the left or right. Continue to do this over and over until you get back to where you started. If done properly, you will have a rough circle. This is essentially how we can create circles from nails and string art projects. The string, wound tightly from each nail(hammered into a circle) to the next will make a circle. This is how we gain our perception of a "flat ground". At the massive scale of Earth, it is comprised of many many little "strings" making it circular.


BONUS: For any of you wealthy individuals, I invite you to fly in any direction and continue flying in that direction(North, East, South, West, etc.) At some point you will return to the place at which you started. This cannot be done with piece of paper unless you "go over the edge" or roll it up. Since you can fly in any direction to get this result, you may test this with a ball, the object in which you are traveling upon must be spherical.

Your idea of discounting mass where the gravitation is concerned is also a reason that the sun orbits the earth – regardless of how big the sun is, as you rightly point out, the sun may rise above the plane of the earth and sink in the west as easily as deluded “scientists” claim that is it only possible for the earth to orbits the sun.

Hello everybody. I'm Christian for 13 years and elder in the church where I serve.
I've also studied Natural Sciences (Math, Physics, Astronomy) and won many awards and acknowledgments in Math and Physics on national and international level. I participated International Olympiad in Physics in 2002 in Leicester UK.
I'm strongly convinced that the Earth is sphere and it doesn't contradict with the Bible at all.


I have many evidence to prove that. I think it will be enough to say that I had many international telephone conversations from USA to Europe with relatives and friends and most of the conversations were done where there was night and here a day
People I talk to, they were my parents, close relatives, close friends that I can trust and I don't believe that they made a conspiracy to lie me that it was a day, when it was a night or the opposite.


If the Earth was flat, then everywhere in a same time would be day or night. But if the Earth was sphere, then of course on the side of the Earth turned to the Sun would be day, and on the other side night - just as it was when I made those international telephone conversation from USA to Europe.

We know the Earth is flat because the Bible tells us so.

No where does the Bible says that the Earth is flat. It might say that the Sun rises or Sun sets, but it is because it is using the language the people were talking. Even today people say Sun rises and sets although they know that it is from the perspective of human observer and not using precise scientific language.

1) Jump!
Now, scientists claim that Earth is spherical and rotating at a speed of between 700-1000 miles per hour, depending on your latitude. This is a very high rate of speed. You can disprove this nonsense by simply jumping up as high as you can. Really, it's that simple. What happens when you jump? You come straight down to where you were. But, if the Earth were indeed spinning at such a fast speed, wouldn't you land hundreds of feet away?

If you were to stand in the flat bed of a truck going 75 mph, and jump straight up, what would happen? You wouldn't fall straight down. You would fall out of the truck. That's because trucks move, the Earth doesn't. This experiment proves the Earth is fixed in space and doesn't move.

No. If you are in a bus that is moving and you are standing near the driver and if you jump, you will not get to the last seats. Why? Please study some basic Physics.

2) Blow!
Since if the Earth is supposedly a sphere, it naturally comes to assume what would happen to people below the equator, like in Australia? Since they are underneath the sphere, wouldn't they fall off? This is where scientists come up with mumbo-jumbo like "gravity" and "centrifugal force" to explain away their theories. So, the scientists want you to think that because the earth is so much more massive than people or things, that people will naturally "stick" to the bottom of the earth because of gravity.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off.

No. In order for a gravity to be visible for us humans, the mass of the object should be hundreds of billions of billions kilograms.

3) Get High!
Ok, this one you really can't do at home, but you can do it out in the world. Stand on the ground and look around you. What's the farthest you can see? Maybe it's a building, tree, or mountain. Now, find some place very close to it where you can get a much higher vantage point. (This also works if you're on a jet and about to take off.) Notice how in the higher place you can see much farther? You can see more of the world the higher you get. This shows the world is flat because the higher you go, the easier it is to see over obstacles. At the same time, it shows the world cannot be spherical. Because if the world was curved, the far distance would forever remain out of view because of the Earth's curvature. It would eternally be over the horizon.

If the Earth was a sphere, it would not matter how high you went, you would still see the same thing. Since this is not the case, the Earth is flat.

The first observation that the Earth is sphere was done by looking the far distance ships from the mountain and not looking it from the seashore.





Even in ancient times sailors knew that the Earth was round and scientists not only suspected it was a sphere, but even estimated its size.


I hope this was helpful. Please don't make Christianity funny and so offensive to the people we want to reach for Christ. We will be responsible before Christ if we make such a obstacles for the Gospel. And please study basic science or don't even touch these topics, especially not connected with the Bible.

How wonderful to have a visitor from FYROM! Please understand that the listing of your credentials is just an appeal to authority (false authority in this case), which is a fallacy. The shape of the Earth is independent of your credentials and your CV.

Obviously the Bible does not say that the Earth would be flat, but by reading some pivotal passages it is easy to conclude that there is no other option. The Bible specifically says that the Whole Earth is visible from a single location (when it is high enough). This is only possible if the Earth is NOT a sphere. If you dismiss this, you actually claim that the Bible is lying, which ultimately leads to the issue of delusion, which we will discuss below.

Once you refuse the clear message of the Bible, God will notice this and send you a delusion. As a result, you will fall deeper into the false doctrines. It is as easy for God to deceive the electronic Instruments that are used to take "photos" of the Earth etc.

The Basic problem is that when you see something in science that contradicts the Bible you either...

• Try to twist the Bible with "interpretations" to make it fit the scientific observations or...
• Dismiss parts the Bible (it is forbidden; Revelation 22:19) with confirmation bias.

In either case, you choose the evidence of your fallible eyes before God's Word! It is very good that we have the Bible. If it were not here, it would be obvious that we would choose to accept the spherical Earth and evolution. The observations and our devices all indicate that these would be True. Fortunately, the Bible is here to guide us. Because it has been given to us, we can fight the urge to trust our senses and science and choose the Path (Matthew 7:14) that leads us to Heaven and Salvation™.
