What animals, how many, who and what to exclude. You also need to realize that not all animals were in existence when He flooded the Earth. God is constantly creating new animals to fascinate and entertain us. Also, many animals were bad and had made pacts with Satan.
The Holy Ghost was very clear to Noah to ensure those beasts did not get Golden Tickets to a space on the Ark. Instead, all the animals giggled in glee as the other ones drowned. Just as Noah did watching all the heathens flounder about in the rain, gurgling their last breaths until they sank to the bottom of the raging waters, eyes open, bubbles slowly emanating from their open, horrified mouths, fingers twitching at the prospect of eternity in Hell.
