I don't see myself as an Atheist, but, at the same time I don't see myself as a Christian, either. I'm not sure which side of the argument is right but I do know the both make excellent points, which is why I joined this forum; to read the points of the religious side. I don't think it's right for either side to rubbish the others claims or beliefs, or lack thereof. We all need to excersise proper tolerance, I think.

I'm not here to flame anyone, I wouldn't want to show such disrespect. I am very interested in Christianity ever since I started reading the bible when attending a christening in church. I have Atheist friends who have been quite unkind about religious people, calling them barbaric with Dark Age-esque views on the world. I thought this couldn't be true as I doubted God would want his followers to hate (although, I have not read the bible extensively so I may be wrong about this) so I joined this forum, simply, to see the opinion of the other side. If I am going to receive nasty comments, though, for simply having my own opinion I think I'll just leave. It's clearly not the place for me.

Why should the operators of a Christian church's discussion forum "tolerate" uninvited atheists joining to tell Christians how stupid they are for believing God's Word?

Why, for that matter, should atheists "tolerate" what they perceive to be people telling lies (and teaching them to their children) about an imaginary friend in the sky?

I have just visited this website and I am shocked by the stupidity and ignorance of some of the people here. First things first, I am a full atheïst, this is because I think about what the world is and not something that was written in a book a thousand years ago. I can say with certainty that I can refute every single argument excisting about the fact that there is no god or higher power in this universe. I'd also like to comment about the way you are closing yourself off of other humans by calling them as I quote ´Scum' for believing something else. I am also seeing several words in which you describe yourself better then others just because of your religion. I challenge every single one of you to tell me one argument why there would be a god or higher power and I can and will refute it.

I receive death threats by the bucketful all the time. I have 3 interns on my "Youth For Christ" team who do nothing but handle such letters full time.
