There is only one version of the Bible, the 1611 King James Version, and there are no other religions that worship our God. They may think they worship our God, but they don't.

Jn 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God's Word never changes. He has promised to preserve it in tip-top condition.

Ps 12:6-7 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

And His Word is most certainly not up to personal interpretation.

2 Pet 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

I could say the same thing about the Bible:

*sigh* There's no hatred here. If they really hated you, why would they spend so much time, effort, and MONEY (webservers and software licenses are not free) trying to teach you about what the Bible really says? Wouldn't they be just like your false Christian friends who are all "oh, don't worry about it, God didn't mean what He clearly says in the Bible, go on, carry on having all the buttsex you want, God loves you anyway" so that they can watch you burn in Hell forever?

I have to agree with you about the ignorance, though. I'm continually amazed at the amount of non-Biblical crap people accept as "Christianity", stuff like, "God loves everyone", "Jesus died for your sins", or even letting women speak in church.

I myself am an atheist. Don't worry. I'm not an antitheist (believing in a god is a bad thing), nor am I a gnostic atheist (there MUST be no god). I'm an agnostic atheist, which means that I MOSTLY do not believe in a god.
Now before you start attacking me, I'd like to share my story first.
I used to be a Christian when I was little. According to my parents, I was very devoted and such. But then, whenever I read the bible, I found many stories that were conflicting to proven science, such as creationism and evolution. Even many parts in the Bible itself is in conflict to each other.
So, around half a year ago, I finally officially quit Christianity.
I'm quite glad I did, too! The stress of going between creationism and evolution again and again is too hard to bear. I choose to believe what there is evidence of, and since I do not see any evidence of God, and that I see evidence of science everywhere, I've chosen to become an atheist. However, I can't stop thinking: what if the people who wrote the Bible was mistaken? What if God created physics, biology, and science itself, and the people who wrote the Bible were not smart enough to actually understand it, and instead put it their own ways? That is why I'm an agnostic atheist.
I found myself coming over to this forum to join in the 400-year debate because of the sheer amount of disagreement, hate, racism, discrimination etc. being passed around the forums from different groups. Disagreement and hate, I can understand, but racism? Discrimination? Being from Hong Kong, this is a tad too much. I believe that even if God was real, he wouldn't have approved of such behaviour.
More later on. I'm rather busy.

Sorry mate, you definitions are off. Atheists (such as my self) believe there is no God or gods.

Agnostics believe the reality of God or gods is unknown (and possible unknowable).

Dunno what you are, mate: more like an agnostic theist, to me.

You can't just quit Christianity. The Bible says it's impossible to lose your salvation, so you must have never been saved in the first place. If you're telling the truth, you've just disproved the Bible, and we know that can't happen.

Jn 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Whether you're a Christian or not, do you think it's wise to choose what you believe? Otherwise you could choose to believe something that's not true, and it would still be untrue. I think it's better to believe what's true. You're talking as if belief takes willpower.

However, I can't stop thinking: what if the people who wrote the Bible was mistaken? What if God created physics, biology, and science itself, and the people who wrote the Bible were not smart enough to actually understand it, and instead put it their own ways? If God is smart enough and powerful enough to create physics, biology and science, don't you think He would have been smart enough and powerful enough to make sure the authors of the Bible, whom He inspired (2 Tim 3:16), would get their facts right? And indeed we can see that the writers of the Bible had knowledge far ahead of their time. They knew the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. They knew that God created the heavens and the earth in six 24-hour days. What good is God's Word if the authors were allowed to put it in their own words? We would have no way of knowing which were man's words and which were God's. It would be completely useless. And we would have no compelling reason to believe it. God's word was revealed to the authors. A revelation is the making known of a secret or the unknown. If the authors of the Bible displayed no extraordinary knowledge in their writings, then we have no reason to believe they were given any special revelation.

I found myself coming over to this forum to join in the 400-year debate because of the sheer amount of disagreement, hate, racism, discrimination etc. being passed around the forums from different groups. See Who does God hate? The burden of proof is on you to provide Scripture showing us what behavior God disapproves of. In the meantime, you can think about the following verses.

                    Psa 5:4-6
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

                    Psalm 5:5
The boastful shall not stand before Thine eyes; Thou dost hate all who do iniquity.

                    Psalm 11:5
The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

                    Lev. 20:23
Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I shall drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them.

                    Prov. 6:16-19
There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers.

                    Hosea 9:15
All their evil is at Gilgal; indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes are rebels.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? 'What I believe'
Are you implying that I choose what I don't believe in? To me, evidence is everywhere to be seen to show what I believe is true. I chose to believe something that has been proven again and again to be true.
Your last sentence on 'what God approves'.
Basically, the key element is TIME. What was the past, it is never the present. There are many taboos in the Bible that everyone of us has violated. One I remember is 'You may not wear clothing made from two kinds of thread/fabric'. We already do, and has done. However, if we put that into the present, then it would be absurd as EVERYONE has violated that rule.
Rules, however good or bad, has to be changed one way or another during the course of time to accommodate the current society.

We uphold the commandment not to wear clothing of mixed fabric. God never changes.

Mal 3:6a For I am the Lord, I change not

And He promises to preserve His Word and His law until all is fulfilled. Why would He bother preserving it if bits of it were outdated?

You seem to be suggesting that we should only follow the commandments that are convenient for us to follow. Making sure all your clothes are of pure fabric is an inconvenience in this day and age, but that doesn't excuse us from keeping God's commandment. There are people who want to abort babies because they're inconvenient. Where do you draw the line? You either obey all of it or reject all of it.

                            2. You must have read some false translation of the Bible, or maybe you misunderstood what you read, because Bible doesn't contradict itself (2 Timothy 3:16).

What if God created physics, biology, and science itself, and the people who wrote the Bible were not smart enough to actually understand it, and instead put it their own ways? That is why I'm an agnostic atheist.
Sorry to disappoint you, but your point of view doesn't reflect neither atheistic nor agnostic position. Atheists deny the existence of God (fools! Psalm 14:1), and agnostics simply do not care whether God exists or not.
God created fossils to test our faith.

I am a firm believer of God and his teachings. But i feel horrible about how others are treated if they have not yet found god! We should look up to our lord and treat others with the respect he did and not judge others before getting to know them. How do you expect to save someone from hell if you bash their current belief? I never force god opon others but when my friends who are athiest are willing to come to church with me and want to know more about religion it is fantastic to help them connect with our lord, many have prayed to him and now come to church with me every sunday.

I have many athiest friends, i even have a buddist friend who is one of the kindest friends of mine who cares for others so much. I treat every single one of gods children with respect and so does everyone else i know at my church. If an athiest doesn't want to change his or her religion i don't get offened or angry because it is their life and they make their own choices. If they go to hell that is their problem, i'm happy to have met so many great people who have at least sat and listened to me about god.

I joined this site thinking i could connect with more christians who want to change the lives of others and the world for the better. I never let any one elses choices change mine. Gay marriage was just legalised in my country (Which i might say i don't mind, it doesn't effect me) - I'm not marrying another woman. My sister isn't a virgin and alot of my friends are in sexual relationships but i still don't have sex.

You cannot base onces actions on their religion. I've known some christians who were horrible people - robbers, murders, rapist. And i've met many many wonderful athiests who care for others.

You may call athiest hateful, but in doing so you're being hateful as well! The first step to saving someone is by being understanding and being kind.

You do know that Jesus does not want us to consort with the unGodly, right?

2nd Chronicles 15:13 "That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman."
Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
John 15:6 "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Psalm 7:12 "If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready."

You talk about respect, but what about respecting Jesus' own Holy Word of th Bible(KJV1611)?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
