Ah! I love how you simple- minded people just blow everything over because of what your little book of lies tells you. You also forget the fact that the Bible was written by people, people who came about this little "religion" after every other religion. Did you know Paganism was around long before Christianity? This is true, and the "Holy Cross" was a symbol used in Astronomy to represent the sun. There is a (see the space here between "a" and "lot"?) lot of evidence that could diffuse your little religion.

So when you say the Oxford Dictionary's definition of religion is wrong because it was written by man, just remember.... the Bible was written by men. Delusional men who could not find answers in their lives so they came up with a fabricated fairy tale as a convenient excuse as to why "bad things" happen.

"Christianity" was used in the "old days" as a political crutch. A scapegoat for the politicians who would do certain things certain ways just because that's what God would want. It would also sway people's opinions on certain topics so whoever was more "Godly" would most likely be voted into their desired position.

I have studied Christianity since I was just a child. (You mean you're all grown up now? Imagine that) Yes, I was once a little Christian boy, until the signs became more evident. "God" is always the excuse for any question.

"Why do bad things happen?"
Because God works in mysterious ways!!!

"Why does the Bible constantly contradict itself?"
....

And so on, and of course the answer is not a simple, logical explanation, but a twisted and pervertedly idiotic banter about how "our God" is an (no "d" in the word "an") awesome God and whatnot.

Of course you would go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on about how I'm a heathen and I'm going to Hell and God created Satan and you'll pray for my soul and yada yada yada yada yada....(no, actually, we won't pray for your soul. You have already blasphemed and that is the unforgiveable sin. You are already destined for Hell no matter WHAT you do from here on out the rest of your life. Might as well go jump off of a cliff now and get it over with.)
