God went to the trouble of giving us a clear and easy-to-follow user manual in the Bible. Just because you're so hung up on hating God doesn't mean we have to ignore this.

We don't worship Zeus because God tells us pretty darned clearly that it's not an option.

It is true that the burden of proof lies upon the one who has the belief. It is also true that just because science cannot disprove something does not make it so.

You might also want to point out that the claim "God exists" is unfalsifiable, meaning there is no difference between the possible world where the proposition is true and the one where the proposition is false. That is to say, if God did exist, the fact of it couldn't be known anyway.

It sounds to me like you are a weak atheist, because your argument only goes that far. The fact that theists have not met there burden of proof only means we should not believe in any gods. It does not mean we should believe there are no gods. I feel you have successfully shown that belief in gods is unjustified, but you have not shown that the belief that there are none is justified. Which position do you mean to defend? Strong atheism, or weak atheism?

Well where did God come from? You know the obvious repost if you say he always existed. Or maybe you dont.

Fact is science is working hard to find out where that 'stuff' came from. religion assumes, for reason of power, ignorance and laziness that a god, whom no evidence exists to back up, did it.

Nothing wrong with saying what you dont know and attempting to find it out. That's science. Religion on the other hand basically says give up
