Did you sign The Manhattan Declaration?

Now we all should be familiar with the Manhattan Declaration, what with all the buzz going around about it, but for those of less vigilant than we, I am speaking of course, of this (http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/index.php):

Christians, when they have lived up to the highest ideals of their faith, have defended the weak and vulnerable and worked tirelessly to protect and strengthen vital institutions of civil society, beginning with the family.

We are Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical Christians who have united at this hour to reaffirm fundamental truths about justice and the common good, and to call upon our fellow citizens, believers and non-believers alike, to join us in defending them. These truths are:

    1. the sanctity of human life
    2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
    3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.

Inasmuch as these truths are foundational to human dignity and the well-being of society, they are inviolable and non-negotiable. Because they are increasingly under assault from powerful forces in our culture, we are compelled today to speak out forcefully in their defense, and to commit ourselves to honoring them fully no matter what pressures are brought upon us and our institutions to abandon or compromise them. We make this commitment not as partisans of any political group but as followers of Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
I am curious how many of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ have supported this, since it is a tricky issue. On one hand, these are, of course, basic tenets of the Christian Faith. On the other hand, signing this document would unite us with the Catholics and of course we all know the folly of doing anything with the Catholics.

I know the argument that "even a broken clock is right twice a day", but whether or not we should side with them on this argument eludes me. I tend to lean towards avoiding this issue entirely, since we, as Christians, are to abstain from the appearance of evil:

I wouldn't want to give the impression that we agree with Catholics on anything, ever. If I ever see a Catholic driving a Hummer, I will sell all three of mine and start driving Escalades exclusively. Luckily they're too busy filling up their "Priuses" with "love" or whatever other fuel they think it runs on to get a real vehicle

Anyways, please fill out this poll to help direct those who are less in tune with Jesus than we are!

The sanctity of human life? This is not Christian, this is humanist, therefore Satanist. there is nothing sacred about humans, all flesh is cursed. Does the Decalogue say "people are good, don't kill them"? No. It says "Thou shalt not kill". Period. Plus it mentions concience, which can only lead you to evil.

As for religious liberty, as long as it's a one-way wall as the Founding Fathers intended, I'm all for it.

          1. the sanctity of human life
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. See also Luke:19:27
          2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
needs, "for life" and "with the wife as the minor partner" adding
          3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
This is a recipe for damnation; your conscience belongs to God to have and hold, the only religious liberty there should be is the liberty to be a True Christian™; everything else is spitting in God's Face.

I think it's a good starting point, especially the commitment to resist any attempts to force Christians into getting abortions or entering homosexual marriages.

I weighed the good (encouraging civil disobedience and rejection of unGodly laws) against the bad (teaming up with Mary-worshippers) . . . and I'm still deciding.

Quoted for the TRUTH™. This sounds like an attempt by the marry worshipers to get the special privileges of religious tolerance. No Mr Pope, is not "freedom" of religion when you force me to enable your idolatry lifestyle choice.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.
