  • Re: Recommended True Christian™ Music

Nephew Zebulun came round to see if he could borrow my cabin up by Lake Tahoe so as to show his fiancée, Ms Rita Chevrolet, the wonders of nature. I played him that video and I was disappointed that he laughed.

Three points arise, and I told him:
    1. If you believe it is good, then it is good: the music should be interpreted through the music.
    2. The guy who is singing believes that his version is more than wonderful, and that is how Jesus hears it, for Jesus sees the intent within our soul and judges us in that way.
    3. He was inspired by God, and thus his version is really true and wonderful.
In fact, from 1, 2, and 3, we can conclude that all Christian Praise music has the same standard.

I asked nephew Zebulun to listen to it all again in the light of what I had said while I contemplated his request.

(I am glad to say that nephew Zebulun is now in the cabin. He reports that Miss Chevrolet took her little dog with her. She likes to dress the little thing in her own stylish canine clothing range, and nephew Zebulun told me that he appreciates her doggy fashion.)

I can help but wish he would try to sing it at a slightly higher pitch, just a little higher, and hold the microphone ever so slightly closer... THEN it would sound like the angels singing in heaven.

I also admire how he throws the piano player under the bus during the lead-in. You've got to call out mediocrity when you see it, huh bud? +1 vote on the YourTubes

That's a catchy one, Brother! Have you heard the Heritage Singers bless us with their lovely voices?

            God said it!
            I believe it!
            That's good enough for me!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

The older boys in our No-Homo™ Youth Choir have formed a glorious little Bible band called "Killing For Christ". Every lyric is based on lessons from the KJV 1611. Praise God!

I was doing research for the Boys No-Homo Youth Group and I found a wonderful new Christian Contemporary number about young people having faith in Christ. I have been so inspired by it, I've watched it over and over and over again! Praise Jesus!
