I have not read this entire thread yet, but when I saw the title I thought, "Why is it only the first time?"

Only two thoughts came to mind when I contemplated this question. Either:

A: You only got married that day, and are informing us that you are fulfilling your Christian duties as a husband.

or

B: You have been remiss is your Christian duties as a husband till this point, and are informing us that you will will be taking the Godly path in the future.

Wives, much like little children, must be corrected often and hard. To do less would be risking them to the eternal fires of hell. Ask any wife of a Landover resident and she'll tell you that she's beaten as often as is needed, and that her husband is as Christ to her. If she doesn't, she'll be getting a sound beating by her husband within a few minutes for not responding correctly.

Ok, I'm going to make it clear that I am not here to flame or troll, I am just attempting to understand you people.
First question; If you love your wife, why on earth would you perform such a degrading act as physically harming her?
She's right, you probably are crazy.
If there is a God, he would never tell someone to intentionally harm another human being.
And no, I'm not some uneducated idiot, I have received a Catholic/Christian education my entire life, and I have been able to make an informed personal opinion about religion.
Again, I wish not to troll - some kind of educated discussion would be appreciated.

What do you mean by God would never tell someone to harm a human being? God frequently uses people for His righteous smitings. If cities need destroying or babies need slicing from wombs He gets humans to do His work for Him. Why is your Bible knowledge so poor?

I would like to echo what Brother O'Fagan said, as well as add the following verse relating specifically to women.

Ephesians 5:22-24 (King James Version) 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.


As you can see, God has asked us to treat women in all the same ways that He treats us. God afflicted Job for no other reason than to impress Satan. God opened sores all over Job's body. In the above verse He says we are to relate to our wives in this way.

I highly recommend that you actually READ the bible. Well, the only approved verson that is - KJV 1611. If you are in need of guidance, there are many pastors here in God's Forums who will be happy to provide the appropiate scripture on subjects you're in doubt of.

From another thread you've written that you are 17 I believe? Why are you not already married, or provided sons to your husband? If not, do you have your father's permission to be here? You should probably have him fill out all the necessary paperwork for you to be here.
