You're not having a very good day are you. There is no room for "opinion" on the subj. of what an EMO is. We know the etymology - if you can call such an unimaginative abbreviation etymology. Maybe..I was simply expressing my opinion on the subject of, "emo."
But the most idiotic thing about your post is the bit where you claim that all music is emo. Of course it's not! Otherwise there wouldn't be a label for the genre
On the other hand it's only the bellyachinger type of moron who bothers to distinguish one piece of trash from another. No normal person would call it music at all. Take a listen to this:

The point is that the screechings of wannabe psych. patients is not on anyone's radar.

mychem are NOT emo. i dont care if their christian or not, i mean one of my best friends is muslim and shes one of the nicest girls i know.
i was at one point in my life when i was cutting myself, hating myself, and i wanted to die. but their music and lyrics helped me to get passed it. i owe my life to them. they're lyrics to the song house of wolves, it's about gerard (the lead singers) battles with addiction and depression. i can relate so well to that song, i've never done drugs or drank, but i can totally relate to the depression part.
i love them with all my heart because they're the kind of people who understand what i have been through, they know how it feels to be used, brought down by others and abandonded for being different.
i'm listening to them right now, my favourite band in the world.
emo's just a fashion choice, i dress kinda to it (skinny jeans, mostly black etc) but im still a good person. i have perfect grades in school, i volunteer at food banks and retirement homes because i want to. im involved a lot in my schools department and im actually known for my smile.
thats what an mcr fan is. how could we and our band be consididered emo?Comment
