Sorry i missed your post. I do believe that there is a possibility of a higher being. I do believe the logic parts of the bible, like jesus was a carpenter and such, i dont dispute how he died. I just find it rather hard to believe about the magical parts, like turning water to wine, parting of the sea. I do not believe the world is flat and that science is 100% wrong. I admit some science has its flaws. I live how i want to.

That is some of the things i believe, im sure people will start trying to insult me for things i believe and thats fine do whatever makes you happy. Just because i believe something different then you it doesn't mean i partake in anal sex, drug use, stealing, killing, and so on.

Where have I heard that before? Oh yes, the gay priest apologists and the women priest apologists and the... on and on it goes. All of them choosing a Jesus they made up and occasionally dusting him with a cosmetic sprinkle of bits of the Bible they find pretty.

Why bother? Why not just make up any old nonsense like a pagan? It's pathetic. It's like you want a safety blanket of superstition to make sense of the stuff that the actual God is behind for reasons explained in the Bible.

Read the bible and one day you will love God in the same way I do and understand why it's important for True Christians(TM) to preach the actual word of God in the Bible.

Friend, the point here is, God is not half full or half empty. Either you beleive or you do not. You go to Heaven or to Hell. It is absolutely your choice. But there is no 'MediocreVille' for those fluffy bunnies that are half assed.

Friend, no one is insulting you. If you provide little facts about yourself, then people build on them, it is the nature God gave us. The only thing we can know with absolute assuredness are the facts contained in the Bible. Everyone knows God had it written and without Him, there would be no 'Us'.

You only believe what you see? Do you believe mechanics know how to fly an airplane bigger than the Landover Gas Pump-n-Go, or do you have to watch them fly it to know they can carry our pastors around safely and in blessed comfort? Or do you only believe things you don't see because they sound plausible? If you believe the earth is round and floating in space, do you believe it's spinning at, what, 1000mph or something like that? That doesn't sound plausible at all, not eve a little. But you believe it. I suspect it's because you trust the people who tell you, not because you've seen it yourself.

So what you really want is to know you can trust the Holy Bible as God's infallible Word, true to the last letter. Friend, the only way to do that is to read the whole thing, and believe, and become a True Christian™. The Holy Spirit will help you when you feel something is "off" and you will learn how to "live by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7) Let me tell you, friend, there is an amazing reality for those who open their eyes and read the Bible earnestly and faithfully. Don't skip anything, learn of the faithfulness of Jephthah and the glory of God speaking through Balaam's ass. Know the cunning theft of Jacob and why Lot is considered righteous even though he had sex with his own daughters. You will know why God considers burning flesh a "pleasing aroma" and why foreskins are so important to further the cause of the King of Kings. These things may not make sense now, but after reading the Bible (and reading our own Bible Study threads), you can learn more than you ever knew could be learned!

You misinterpreted what i said. I do believe there is a POSSIBILITY (meaning i do not currently believe) of a higher being. I have no proof to say there is or isn't a god, so i go with logic and say there isn't. What safety blanket of superstition?
Should i believe in the easter bunny, santa claus, faeries, elves, or any other mythological creatures that have been written about throughout history? Or only your god because it says so in a book that was written by another HUMAN? Other humans have written about other mythological creatures how do you know god didn't tell them to write that stuff?
What miracles have you personally seen that confirms everything in the bible?
I will read the bible so that maybe i can try to even understand what you are talking about.

How does the bible explain it turning from night to day if the earth isn't rotating? The sun rotates around the earth? How is that any more plausible then the earth spins?
