Friend, like many people that hate God, you are too closed minded to see the Truth©. I thought you were a smart man but apparently I was incorrect. That is a lesson I need to learn about giving people the benefit of the doubt.
Friend, there are rules. Once you break one, there is no reason to say you will not break another, then another.
Today, it is driving like a reckless manic at break neck speeds. Next week, you push an old lady down a stair case, shattering all her frail bones.
When will it stop? It should of stopped before it started. Who told you that you are above the rules that all decent people agreed to abide by?
Would you mind if a boy looked at your daughter? Held her hand? Kissed her? 'Accidently' fondled her burgeoning breasts? Got her pregnant? Who is the one to decide what is acceptable? You? The boy? I'll tell you who. God is.

As I've said, I believe in consequences. There are plenty of reasons not to continue to break progressively more severe laws.

As for my daughter, I am bringing her up in a manner that 1. She has self-esteem not to be pressured into going beyond what she is comfortable. 2. She'll have mace and training to possibly prevent a boy from going further than she feels comfortable with. 3. She'll have a dad who is very attuned to what is going on in her life and able to offer advise in order to avoid severe consequences. 4. She'll know the consequences of her actions (such as drugs or unprotected sex) and 5. She'll know she's allowed to make mistakes yet retain family support.


Now before you disagree James, think about how the God you believe in does things: He gives everyone the freedom to choose. He warns and he wants you to stand for what you believe in. The fact that I'm here having this discussion is evidence of our uniqueness and freedom to dissent. I'm not forced to listen to you, I choose to think. Anout what youre saying and seek further understanding of my fellow beings.

I of course teach her; let her learn by example; let her make mistakes to a degree, but above all teach her consequences. Putting a fork in the light socket has a very real and immediate consequence.

So how about warning her about, say, sucking on a lump of lead or eating lead oxide? No immediate consequence...

"I'd love her even if she turned herself into a drooling idiot before she dies," doesn't do her much good.

Friend, it is not us that should worry you, we are passive followers of Gods Word(c). You big concern should be God and what He chooses to do and when.

I see you balancing your life with fire in one hand and dynamite in the other. You are trying to keep them seperate but you will not be able to do so forever. No one can. We have Gods Love in one hand and Our Devotion to Him in the other. When combined it will provide us with an eternity of bliss.

They want to believe in a god that fits their desires, one that agrees with them.

Most of them make one up, then call it "God" and pretend it's the Christian God.

Instead, they are just worshiping themselves.

Why do they think they can "believe in" a god that agrees with them on everything, and it will come into being? Bizarre.

As long as you follow Biblical Law, you should be fine.

After Romney is elected and the House and Senate reach a Tea Party majority, we will decimate the radical left, make Christianity mandatory as a condition of citizenship, and begin deporting all nonbelievers. But first, of course, we will begin by instituting Biblical Law, along with its punishments.

That means executing homosexuals and also adulterers like Newt Gingrich, and the end of the welfare state.

The Mayans are right, there will be an ending and a new beginning in late 2012. The end of the liberal welfare state, and the beginning of the New Christian Dominion. Glory!

Oh, and sorry to not address the comment about creating a god to fit personal beliefs. That's why I dont ascribe to any religion. If I COULD pick a theology, I'd choose the Taoism. But its all moot conjecture anyway since wanting something to be true doesn't make it so.

I'm agnostic, not atheistic. I don't make claims either way. In my journeys I came to the conclusion it matters less what you believe but how you act toward your fellow man. Agnostic literally means unknowable. I don't believe anyone truly KNOWS what happens after they die.

Who said I'm a Romney supporter? I said he will win the election.

He's not-Obama. A Mormon is better than a Muslim baby-killer.

He also has demonstrated that, even though he is a Massachusetts Moderate, he will do what the Right tells him.

A Tea Party House and Senate will make him do whatever we tell them to do, which is institute Biblical Law.
