Actually that scripture is a simple one and also a scripture that discredits the idea of the Trinity. Jesus Christ tells his apostles that he wants them to be one like he is one with his father. Clearly this is a spiritual oneness not a physical oneness. Jesus Christ wasn't telling his follows that he literally wanted them to become one with him and his father, but instead one in ideals and belief.
Also again your trying to push that it is important I am making typing mistakes. I make a couple of typing errors, that does not make me an unintellectual or that I don't know what I am talking about. It is bad form to try and discredit me just because I made a few errors in typing.

No more that I am reading a stripture and telling you what it means based on my knowledge and understanding of the subject and purpose. It's actually how reading works, especially since the exact same thing can mean different things to different people.

So in your view is the Bible internally flawed and contradictory? Because you seem to think there's more than one God or something. It's like one minute it says this then the next it says that and different people could read it and get different meanings yet both of them are right or something.

It all seems so very complicated in your mind - like you think God is incapable of presenting Himself to mankind in a clear and unambiguous way. You seem to think God's a bit incompetent.

Am I the only person here who sees a problem in that?

No, words mean exactly what they mean. You are treading a slippery slope that leads to catholocism, liberalism, and (ultimately) eternal damnation.

I'd suggest you go back and read 2 Peter 1:20.

Why do you think it's so difficult to read the Bible? Why do you need people to tell you what it means?

No one need to tell me what I Bible means. I read, study, and pray on it myself, at most comparing what I have learn to what others learn. I believe in the Bible fully and completely. It is God' Word and taht will not change, it only saddens me that in over 1000 years of translation and transcription and made things unclear for many. If only others could understand the beautiful of this book and see it for what it is... the means to salvation and for knowing God fully.

So how is it possible we are disagreeing? Or are you just one of the few so gifted as to truly understand God while lesser mortals flounder around failing to truly see God like you do?

It must be marvellous to be so very blessed. I met false Christians like you once; they called themselves priests and they lied with clever words and were condescending and when I read the Bible it was all laid bare.

I believe the King James Version of the Bible to be absolutely truth and I have not denied it, nor do I hold any other book higher Miss Felicity. I have not denied the Bible at all so please do not try to say I have.

On to you Redeemed Papist, yes it is possible we are disagreeing even likely that is simply the case. I though receive my understanding through deep prayer and study of the scriptures... how do you receive understanding?
I am not a false Christian nor a priest that cleverly lies to those around him, I am a child and servent of God and he is my Father. I put my faith in Jesus Christ and have taken him as my Savior. Read the Bible prayerfully, all of it word for word and the Holy Ghost will show you the truth of it. It is not hard to understand the Bible unless one has hedged themselves in by false traditions of fallen Christians.

It is a Christian tradition to believe in the Trinity, and I have already show scriptures that point to the falseness on the Trinity. So sorry it is not 'straight to Hell for me'.

You're the one who barged onto a Baptist church's discussion forum to begin insisting that we don't understand the Bible. Do you expect us to roll over and say, "Yeah, you're right, we're going to Hell and you're not"?
