    Killed the cat

Greetings. I am endlessly curious about faith and how one comes to have it. Enjoy hearing peoples ideas etc about it without simply quoting biblical references. So, let's...

    Re: Killed the cat

Everyone is born with a faith.

A child, for instance, will literally believe whatever he is told by an adult, because children are just full of faith.

The question you should ask is this: What horrible things must happen to a child for him to abandon faith?

Therefore, it is the faithless who are an anomaly and a curiosity to the normal majority of people who carry their childlike faith all through their adult and senior years.

Philemon 1:20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

That's pretty much how we feel when we see someone eager to find Jesus. The answers are in the scriptures.

Why do you not want Bible verses? How else are you supposed to learn about faith (and morals, and history, and explanations of the physical world, etc.).

(John 1:1) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

I fully agree with you that deliberate killing of cats is devil worship, but I'm not fully sure if running over cats make you a bad driver. The LORD do usually evacuate cats from the road during danger. And if he doesn't, he has a good reason, maybe the cat is possessed by a demon and its master lacks the skills to exorcise it.

If you kill a cat or harm anything else with your car, it's the will of the LORD:

Killed the cat was in reference to the old phrase curiousity killed the cat.
Regarding the biblical quotations, I have often found in my conversations with folk that they don't understand or can't explain in their own words what they are referring to. I am by no means anti bible references I just have found that it hasn't answered the question I was asking the person at the time.
Also the explanation of being born with faith and believing what the adult says as truth, doesn't that just mean the baby has no answers/experience?

Why should I need to explain something that's as plain as day? Problems start when people start trying to "explain" and "interpret" the Bible. When people say things like "What that REALLY means..." and "Another way to look at that is..." YOU RUN AWAY. Get as far away from them as possible.

And guess how I know that's a bad idea?

IT SAYS SO IN THE BIBLE!!!

(2 Peter 1:20) "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."

It is a well-known fact that in a neonate’s brain there an empty area that is waiting for “Faith”. This is part of the area of the brain that is known as “Tabula rasa“

It is God who has provided this so that once the awareness of free will steps in, the child will have the opportunity to accept Jesus. Jesus is a perfect fit.

However, there are cripples and gimps, retards, catholics, atheists, heathens, pagans, false Christian, etc, etc., who lack a proper entrance to this area and therefore have no capacity for belief or have wildly warped and erroneous beliefs.

Look on it in the same way that some people are colorblind. They just do not have the capacity to see red/blue; green/yellow, etc. Eventually, these people are diagnosed but, unfortunately, nothing can be done, yet they accept that they are abnormal.

Most unfortunately, whereas the colorblind sufferer (and cripple, gimp, retard) has self-awareness and recognises their condition, those who are heathens, pagans, false Christians, do not and they become anti-social and argue with and persecute True Christians™.

You aren't around false "christians" here, friend. We use the Bible, the WHOLE Bible, just as Jesus commanded:

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

No, it means God created mankind with a heart tuned into Him (Hebrews 10:16). Thus, babies are born with faith.
