You know, there is this really good book which will tell you all about True Christian beliefs, it is called THE BIBLE, you should read it sometime.

You make a very good point. Many people have not read the Bible and I mean people who call themselves Christians. I had never read the Bible but then I was in an accident it is a long story but after the coma I read the Bible and then my kids stopped visiting.

There is a very good part of the Bible that I marked with a Post-It Note it is John 5:47 and it says:

But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

That is Jesus talking about Moses. When Moses died he was buried by God Himself so you know Moses was important.

I do not have that part marked with a Post-It Note. I will look for it later.

It is very sad how many "Christians" pick the parts of The Bible they like and ignore the rest, like people who only believe in the new testament, or only some of the commandments, they think they are doing God's work when really they think they know better than God. Why would everything in The Bible be there if God intended you to only believe in SOME of it? the answer: He wants you to believe ALL of it.

When Didymus made that comparison, he meant that you don't ask somebody who falsely claims to follow the Bible (Catholics), whether they follow it or not. Of course they will tell you that they do follow it, even though the objective truth is that they don't. You were already provided with the link to an appropriate subforum, so I won't bother to repeat it.

For example: when it says not to pray to anyone except God, it means don't pray to anyone except God, and Mary, and Joseph, and St. Yadayadayada of Fill-in-the-Blank, and your dead Aunt Bernice (and her cute little doggie who was martyred by that awful heathen garbage truck). It's just that we (as not Catholic theologians) are not able to see the truth that's not written there. It's called having discernment.

How do you "interpret"
