HI! My name is Sam I have been born and raised in the D (Detroit for those that don't know.) I was born into a Catholic family so I was raised in the path of God. Up in till a few years ago church was just a set of motions that I went through every Sunday, but after I was confirmed as a member of the church some thing just clicked in my head and I was looking at things from a whole new prospective. I started doing more for the church and community. I go to St. Vincent Pallotti Church in Wyandotte Michigan. I guess my favorite Bible verse would be Romans 12:2
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Basically what the verse it saying to me is "So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-school, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you."
So is that an acceptable introduction? If you can leave a question I didn't answer in the comments. And we are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of our lord so why does it say attention all unsaved trash? Isn't that kind of rude?
