This is a web-forum dedicated to praising GOD and preaching the Bible.

It is entirely on-topic to discuss scripture here, but thanks anyway for telling us how to run our own forum while simultaneously dodging the challenge to back up your assertions that we aren't following the Bible appropriately.

If we are hypocrites, we would like to be shown it in the Bible.

Last week I was having vacation at Portugal. I really had enough of this cold Godforsaken place I have to live right now and though that I have a holiday at some warm nice country. I did know that Portuguese have been really lazy, getting their country to bankrupt, but I though that now they would be friendly and humble as other Europeans are saving their butt.

I have to admit that it was warm, but everything else was disappointment. First we paid about 2000 dollars for our hotel apartment. The apartment itself was ok, but the equipment wasn't. There was only 25" lcd tv and about 11 channels. No dvd or BD player, no sound system. And only 2 channels where in American language.

And in every other 3rd world countries I have got servant for that price. When I asked where the servant is, they didn't understand and tried to give me room service number.

Next horror awaited me when we had a walk at the town. I was almost ripped half when waiters tried to get me to their filthy little bars and restaurants where waitress had moustache and looked like mexican. Fortunately we found McDonald's and got some decent food, not any weird stuff like their cataplana where they put things they find under the stones.

When we had eaten, we asked if the place had any attraction that we should see and we where led to catlic church! How rude is that?

Later in the evening, I visited the town square. I had to leave my family to the hotel because streets were full of drunken Brits and you know they are not something to show to your children. I sat down to a bench and watched mime artist for maybe 5 minutes and I was approached by man trying to sell me weed. And the worst part was that he was asking about 30 euros/gram. Do I really look like drug addict and stupid?

This was only the first day. I could continue forever about cold swimming pool, horrible gym etc, but I think this is enough. I think EU should not bailout the Portugal, they should be forced to sell all their country to pay their depts and then ship the people to the Mexico to leave the area to better people.

This was one of the funniest threads I ever read on the Internet. I could reply (and perhaps humiliate) to many people but I'll reply only to the opening post of this thread:

Ok... For starters, basing your own convictions in stereotypes is just dumb. Secondly, Portuguese citizens are widely recognized as friendly so you either got really unlucky or you are simply lying.

2000$?!? LOL! Sorry buddy but unless you stayed in one 5 star hotel for around two months you hardly get that price for any hotel in Portugal. Check booking.com and you'll find out the real prices. Here we go again... Have you even checked if they had servants 24/7? Perhaps once again you should have checked where you were going, don't you think?

So many things to pick... 1st: Basing in our description you probably went to the most low-budget touristic spots we have in Portugal. Otherwise, you wouldn't have people bugging you to get in restaurants (bad pick). Second: You didn't come in into those restaurants but you managed to see the waitress mustache? Wow! You must have super powers!! Can I touch you??
Next: Everybody loves McDonalds, specially doctors and cholesterol specialists. Keep eating it on a daily basis that definitely you meet some in the future!
Finally, cataplana is delicious and that thing you say we pick under stones is called Seafood! You have any of that in your redneck origin?

Once again, is likely you chose a crappy location to stay. Fortunately, last year there were more than 12,5 million people staying in Portuguese hotels (http://www.turismodeportugal.pt/Port...l_Mercados.pdf) and I bet many we'll be back. Regarding the Catholic Church: Have you stopped to think that may have some architectural characteristic that differs it among the rest? Perhaps it's a beautiful place, but ok, you stereotypes strike again... Sad...

LOL. Yup, If I saw someone watching a mime show for 5 minutes I'd also think that person would be "under the influence" Regarding the brits: And once again: Learn to find out where you're going. In every single place on Earth there are good and bad locations to spend family vacations.

Awesome!! This is genius! First, you suggest that a self-proclaimed federation sell a country who, just for the record, is one of the oldest in the world (1143) and has the oldest borderlines of the world. Second, you suggest people are sent to Mexico. Why? Besides Portuguese tourists travelling to Mexico there are not that many connections between the two countries. Go study some History!

Anyway, next time I travel to Mexico, I'll try to enter as well in the US and I promise I'll try to give a big kiss in that redneck head of yours!

My point is that you were offensive, disrespectful to the point off making this tread viral in an entire country social media.
You took a tiny part of it labeled it as a whole in such an ignorant way. If you haven't had written Portugal I would have never guessed that you were talking about my country, I can't even guess the region!
I started doing the same about the bible and you reacted just like I'm reacting to your post.
You and your pals should have more respect for a country with almost 900 hundred years of history.
This country has no servants, unless you pay for them, the same price or higher as you would pay in the US.
This country has it's own language.
This country has great seafood, it's not from under the rocks.
This country has great hotels, just picked the wrong one.
This country as drugs and problems just like any other country.
We should not be moved to Mexico, because this is our land, our heritage and culture. Inform yourself before you visit us the next time, and do some research or get a better travel agent.
