Okay, so what's the second foci? For this to be true there would have to be a second sun (or something) with as much gravitational pull as the sun in order to keep us from being sucked in.

This is how we come to our conclusions. We can't see a black hole, that's correct. But, we can see the effect it has on it's surroundings etc etc.

The problem is that "scientists" work backwards. They decide what they want the answer to be and then come up with a "formula" that fits their answer.

Excuse me, but let me remind you that if Earth were really flat then USA and the rest of America wouldn't even exist because europeans used to think that beyond the horizont existed only a big hole full of monsters instead of another lands. When Columbus went to search for new lands he was in the sea during months until one of the men in his ship saw a land, when everyone left the ship and went to the island they called it San Salvador, in Bahamas

Columbus though he discovered a new route to India, but then they discovered the new lands weren't connected with Asia, instead they were a completely new continent, which was called America in 1507

So, thanks to the revolutionary idea of a esferic Earth we're the continent we know now. That means Earth can't be flat because our countries and the continent are beyond the old edge of the Earth. Earth is esferic, so no edge
