I see your problem here and understand your confusion. It certainly is true that we get a lot of false Christians in here who do indeed individually make up God; which is why God varies so much depending on which of them we have posting their gibberish in here. However, we do not make up God. God has told us who He is in an infallible and perfect testimony you may have heard of: The King James Bible.

God is therefore not made up, at least not by us.

Let's look at this 'logically', OK?

God is all-powerful.

God is all-knowing.

Therefore, before Stephen Hawking began his long physical decline, God knew exactly what would happen, and had the ability to stop it from happening.

God did not stop it.

This means that God allowed it to happen (or caused it, another possibility).

Why? Who knows? Because Hawking is a God-mocking atheist, perhaps?

Forgive me, but what comes to mind when I read the title of this thread is that is exactly what Hitler would have said about Stephen Hawkings. He referred to our president Franklin Roosevelt as a cripple and underestimated him at his own peril.

It is not Stephen Hawkings's fault that he is crippled. It happens to the best of us, and he's one of the best. Genius looks like ignorance to the ignorant among us. I have never heard of Hawkings blaming God for his condition either. I think he accepts it as a random act of fate. I admire him for not letting his frail body subvert his keen intelligence.

I'd rather be in Hell with Stephen Hawkings than in Heaven with the yahoos who have ridiculed him on this board. But none of us is going to either Heaven or Hell. In a few decades we will all be in the same place--gone.
