I am sure the hand of God has something to do with this. While they read from the KJV, they sure don't follow it to the letter like us. No they don't. From what I understand, they don't even have a B.A.S.H. program (Baptists Are Saving Homosexuals). I wonder what they would do if some Homer threw himself on their stairs asking for mercy and help in changing his ways. Would they help him into a program? Or just beat him with placards?

They are also so hung up on the homers, that they don't seem to feel that any other part of the Bible applies. Fred's just waiting for them to do something he can sue them for (the slightest violation of whatever right Fred can convince a judge they've infringed on, or whatever). Half (or more) of the Phelps clan are lawyers (including the old man), and after the successes in court they've had over the years, they have VERY deep pockets.
