Great question, son! Most people in the world today think of God as some ethereal being, more of a living consciousness, if you will. This force of Love is understood to no more discriminate against a person than the force of magnetism would discriminate against a person. The idea being, this force exists, regardless of whether or not you channel it.

This is all modern, new-age foolishness however. We know this because if this was the faith of Christ (Galatians 2:16), Christ Himself would have said so! But He didn't, not as Jesus, and not as Yahweh when He carefully chose and dictated the very words to record His Will (as eventually published in the King James Version Holy Bible). Not only is it completely absent from Scripture and the history of church, it defies what is pronounced in Scripture.

For the Christian knowledgeable with the Word, the answer is a resounding affirmation of God's Divine Discrimination. You see, God doesn't spread His love to just anyone, He is very particular with His affections. He is, after all, a Jealous God (Exodus 34:14). Those who love and worship Him are adopted into His Divine Family. This is who God loves, this is who God helps.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:14; 17

It is His special children who, among all the peoples of the world, are singled out for Blessings.

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and theirs offspring among the people:
all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

Actually, all of Deuteronomy chapter 28 is good to understand God's Blessings. The first half is blessings, second half is curses, laying out exactly who God helps, and against who He discriminates.

The idea that God helps those in need simply cannot be reconciled with Scripture or reality. You live in Africa, you've no doubt seen the starving, war-torn, desperate people of your continent. If there is anyone who is more in need than a child being recruited to fight another man's war, then I'll eat my hat. God doesn't help them, though, does He? You must ask yourself, Why not? And if you answer with some modern, fluffy, vague, patronizing God-loves-everyone garbage, then you've done nothing but satisfied your own guilt and distracted yourself from feeling uncomfortable, for surely it is not a part of the faith of Christ.

Think about it - Jesus fed the 5000 AFTER they listened to and believed His sermon. Not before.

Sometimes, I use a fire hose on the lot to cut the stench. Boo hoo if they had not eaten the food God provided. Ungrateful bastards.
