I am an atheist, but I am trying to figure out why people believe in such hogwash. With the total lack of any evidence, you people still believe in delusions. If you were going to a car dealership and the employee said, "if you give me $20000 now, I will give you the most expensive, envious car sometime within the next three years, would you do it? That's what blind faith is. That's the same thing you do with your religion.

At a young age, you do not possess the ability to critically think or reason. It is very easy to indoctrinate children into something they do not understand. If you do not think this is true, then why do you people not wait until your children are of at least 18 years of age to share your beliefs?

First off, I'm fifteen. Second, I'm a female so I will never drive and third and finally if it is $20,000 dollars how would I even afford to buy it?

It instructs as clear as day that Christians should teach their children the way of God and His Word.

Mark 10:13-14

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Jesus says do not forbid young children from coming to him, once again as clear as day.

Now let's pretend the world is a fluffy place the Bible doesn't say that and it is actual not against His Word to do that. Not all children make it to the age of eighteen, it is not right to play gamble(as you atheists love to do) with their souls. I am very happy that my dad raised me a Christian, so clearly I am proof that it is not against my wishes.

reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other
Satanic worshipping symbols.
5-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.
6-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music.
(Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against
the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)
7-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak
eccentrically.
8-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the
Bible, prayer, church or sports.
9-Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult,
witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan.
10-Takes drugs.
11-Drinks alcohol.
12-Is suicidal and/or depressed.
13-Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation.
(This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God
and His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local
mental health center.)
14-Complains of boredom.
15-Sleeps too excessively or too little.
16-Is excessively awake during the night.
17-Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to
vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.)
18-Demands an unusual amount of privacy.
19-Spends large amounts of time alone.
20-Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your child
may speak to evil sprits through meditation.)
21-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an
adult.
22-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders
are but a few examples of this.
23-Misbehaves at school.
24-Misbehaves at home.
25-Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of
this.
26-Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires
believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and
should be stopped immediately.)
27-Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources.
(Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.)
28-Plays videos games that contains violence or are of a role-playing
nature.
29-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the
computer.
30-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.
31-Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner.
32-Expresses an interest in sex.
33-Masturbates.
34-Is homosexual and/or bisexual.
35-Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism,
Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism.
36-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various
phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth".
37-Claims to be a goth.

If five or more of these apply to your child, please intervene
immediately. The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it.
If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental
health center.

most suffer from boredom
listen to some type of music thats hip hop or rap thats very popular among most teens
most teens masturbate
they usually dont get enough sleep with the way school schedules are

Ok. First and foremost, let me say, I have been a Christian since I was seven years old. So I'm on God's side =) And also that I have been a "different" person for many years as well. I'm not sure how people came to correlate the style with Satanism or any other horrible thing like that, although some people have given very good reason for people to believe goths are evil. Such as Mr.Manson. Blech. My only opposition with this belief is it's not fair. I believe in Jesus just as so many others do. I am not evil, and I plan on going to Heaven with the rest of my family. =)

I think the majority of the people posting on this thread are either brainwashed to the point of actually believing the rubbish they are spouting or they have serious mental issues....either way, you need help!

Just to let you all know, i am indeed a Christian...born and raised as a TRUE Protestant(not Baptist or other FAKE Christian, these are religions that have been created by altering other religions to suit what the 'Follower' wants to believe/wants others to believe). I was born, raised and still live in Scotland, Great Britain. I do believe in God and the Bible, but not to the extent that you all seem to. The Bible is a GUIDE to the way we should live our lives and treat others, NOT something that we should adhere to without question and follow to the very letter.

SO.............with that in mind, i say hello to all and i look forward to debating with some of the members on here.

Thank you for your well thought out and worded rebuttle to my statement. Please, at least do your research and learn how to correctly spell "Catholic(not Cathlick)". As i am quite sure you are aware, Catholic means "Follower of Christ", which if you stop and think actually applies to ALL forms of Christianity.........we ALL follow Christ. ROMAN Catholic means a different thing altogether, following the church of Rome.
Could you please explain to me how you can describe athe picture of the normal, everyday girl as........
"that girl is not goth but photoshop"...........how can a person(created in Gods own image nonetheless) be a computer program used to edit and manipulate digital images uploaded to a computer? Your statement makes a mockery of the English language(Americanised or otherwise......). I think perhaps you mean that the picture was Photoshopped, in which case i think you should try to fully explain what you mean.
