No where in the KJV Bible does it mention goth, support of goth. What it does talk about is the dress, makeup, piercings and way of life and how it goes against His teachings.

Mr. Hutchins, thank you first off for being civil to me. In response to your observations, I agree with some of what you have said. The bible does not mention gothism specifically, but it does not mention ANY subculture at all. Subcultures change with the changing times. The cowboys are also a subculture but they exist, and many are Christians also. Sinful humans have always been around.

I aggree with you totally on the piercings and tattoos, which is why I have none. Piercings are unsanitary and to me they are disgusting, breaking the skin to insert metal. It is without point. Tattoos are similar, permanent and generally in poor taste with skulls and demons prominent. My kids wanted some, influenced by school and I would not allow it.

As for makeup, they were forbidden by me, but they wear eyeliner, which to me is not that big of a deal.

As for Christianity Mr. hutchins, I believe Christianity and rebellion start in the same place, in the mind. Christianity is not about clothing, it is about a mentality. To take an intentional, mentally aware attitude of rebellion and express it deliberately is rebellion, such as actual satanists and devil worshippers do. They are very public about it and make no opogies. I have been approached by them, and while I would talk to them I would avoid anything outside of conversation.

For people in general to stereotype me and my fellows is wrong, especially without having seen me first. The church I go to would not stand for anyone disrupting them with evil intent. The minister counceled me for a while to get a feeling for who I was then asked me if I wanted to accept Jesus. It was very emotional.

I have seen bikers in church, goths and all sorts of people and one church had a witch who renounced witchcraft and rededicated herself to Christianity. It was because she was invited in to learn and not condemned.

The bible is based purely on logic, and for that reasonI also avoid certain foods, having found them to be harmful as mentioned in the old testament, such as pork, which to me tasted horrid anyhow.

Let me make sure I understand this, a Goth can go to church in a Christian church and be totally sincere in their worship and not have a drop of rebellion in their body, but based simplyh onb their appearance you advocate beating them or even murdering them.

You can not be "sincere" and at the same time ignore the Holy Bible. That makes you a hypocrite and Jesus does not like that.

Deuteronomy 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

Cranky: Your mistake is you make assumptions. Just for the record, no one in my house cross dresses, and no one here has piercings or tattoos, as I already told Mr. Hutchins. What makes you think that EVERY goth out there is the same?? As for modest, if you think I wear a blue mohawk and tons of steel, wrong again. I wear alot of black, as did most of the people I went to church with today. Does God hate black?? As for modest, my clothing was baught with church in mind, I hae had a few people compliment the jackets I wear. This from a Christian church. For you to say otherwise proves that you base your opinions on pure stereotypes.

I have seen the light!

I was headed in to light my black candles and turn on my heavy metal music, headed in again to put on black clothes and eyeliner (we goths call it guyliner) Then douse my eye brows in mascara, (we goths call in Manscera) and about to reapply my nail polish, (we goths call that male polish) when suddenly a light appeared a a voice speaking from the little angel figurine I keep in the bedroom said, "my son, you know that you are an offense to humanity who's stench rises to the highest heavens, or at least the ceiling, burn your clothes, trash your CD's and begin a new life now and avoid the penalties of the life you have been leading!

I smashed my CD's and fell down to openly and loudly begin my new life. I also burned my black evil clothing and left behind the hideous world of Goth.

Two problems persist however, one is that I have no clothes and the other is that when I set fire to my black demon clothes I burned myself somewhat badly and have no aloe Vera gell!
