Re: Creationism
Because God said so, and God is not a liar.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Here you go twisting science again to suit your own purposes. Please quote a scientific source that says casting spells can alter energy and change matter. I am still waiting for you to prove magick works. Give me even just one instance of when it has worked for you.
All you are doing when you cast a spell is getting yourself into a positive frame of mind, and setting yourself to achieve a goal, albeit with a lot of unnecessary hocus pocus. If you get what you want, or something close to it, you say, "Wow! Look! Magick works!" If you don't get what you want, it's because you didn't do it right, or perhaps you did actually get what you want, just not the way you expected it to come to you. These are lame cop-outs. I found this quote in the article you were referring to:
Have you ever thought that the reason we don't notice it is because it doesn't work? Maybe wiccans train themselves to interpret every trivial event as evidence that magick works. And if it feels right and is supported by alternative science, it must be true. What is the difference between what you do when you cast a spell and what an ordinary person does when he sets himself a goal and works towards it (except that he doesn't use a cauldron or eye of newt). In the end he may or may not get what he wants, just like you.

What do you think about this:
Magick is another word for transformation, creation, and manifestation. Wicca magick is a tool we use to act on the subtle - or energy, or quantum - level of reality. The quantum level is the causal realm. It is the subtle influences at the quantum level that decide which way reality will go.
So if you want to manifest something into ordinary reality, you start by stimulating the quantum realm to favour that potentiality.
That is real magick in action.
Science has known since early in the last century that the material world is made up not of matter, but of energy. And while matter is fairly stable, energy is very fluid.

Life is full of real magick. But we've been trained not to notice it, even when it's right in front of our noses.
that's not magic. It's a faulty definition.
