Ok lets try another scenario.
You are at the bank office to open a saving account and your son is with you. While waiting for your turn an armed robber enters the bank and because your son is closest the robber grab him and puts his gun to your sons head.
The robber then give 1 minute to either get all the money in the bank or shoot.
Would you try to defend your son?

Actually i dont making fun of it. Just trying to see how christians value family. And so far it seems family dont really mean anything at all.

Well, I live in Sweden, so due to the time difference I was home asleep during this conversation. I must admit that I did not read through the rather lengthy and tiresome discussion. Atheists are so predictable and boring in their comments.

I'm not going to claim that I know the Bible by heart. But I think I know the book well enough to pass any test.

Many times. I have studied it in groups in Stockholm. Still do. Once I even studied it together with some Jehovas witnesses out of curiosity (I was never a member). I was interested in how different their views were based on the Bible. It turned out that they were way too liberal for my taste and they didn't seem to care about what the actual text said at all. That was disappointing. But explains why they are the way they are.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the Bible as the Word of God. They consider its 66 books to be inspired and historically accurate. What is commonly called the New Testament they refer to as the Christian Greek Scriptures, and the Old Testament they call the Hebrew Scriptures. They rely on both of these, the Greek and the Hebrew Scriptures, and take them literally except where the expressions or settings obviously indicate that they are figurative or symbolic.

That's straight from the horse's mouth on their web site! I wonder how it is obvious to them... What special thoughts have they had... I wonder if it has anything to do with "this bit's a bit dicey based on how I was planning to screw this person out of Salvation(R) and get them to give me all their money."

I can't bring myself to copy/paste from wikipedia - just reading it sent me to my prayer closet for a good hour. Suffice to say there is such an abomination as a New World Translation that has "been interpreted" by the "Governing Body".

They said so many weird things. The final straw was when I asked about Jehova's witnesses view on gender equality and how they interpreted Colossians 3:18-4:18. They said they interpreted it metaphorically and God didn't really mean exactly what God said in the Bible. I mean... what's the point? If the Bible is God's law, the rules he gave us, then what's the point if the laws are up for arbitrary interpretation just because it would suit the whims of the latest liberal trend? I took my Bible and left.
