Do Snow Banks Prove the Great Flood?

Friends in CHRIST JESUS our LORD,

The Holy Spirit has given me something that I am very excited about! New evidence that Noah's Flood really did happen and that the Grand Canyon was cut in a matter of days as a result.



This is a gigantic snow bank in Montana that was formed in a matter of days. Notice the layers of snow? Each layer represents an individual snow storm which deposited that particular layer atop preexisting layers. What does this remind us of?



You guessed it! Notice the layers of rock? They are almost identical to the layers of snow in the previous photograph, only these are made of rock.

Here's another snow bank:



Again, notice the layers? More importantly, do you see the writing on the side of this snow bank? Obviously it is very fresh and createdby an intelligent entity. Did it take millions of years for this snow bank to form?

No!

It would be illogical and stupid to believe that something like this could be formed over that period of time! Snow melts after a few days in the sun, so obviously it must have formed very quickly.



Similarly, how could something like this form over millions of years? Wouldn't it have toppled over by now? Look at the puny river. How could it even begin to cut rock? Don't scientists know that water flows around rocks and other solid matter? It is not a blade that can cut.

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. -Genesis 7:11

Clearly, the only logical conclusion any thinking person can draw is that the Grand Canyon is where one of the great fountains of the deep was located, before GOD split it open like a melon. At that point, all the water rushed out and drowned the evil people.

What we see today is where GOD split the Earth open. When the water rushed out, it packed all those layers of rock into place with great force, and it stands today as a testament of GOD's awesome powers.

So the next time you hear a secular scientist babbling about the Grand Canyon, millions of years, and erosion and whatnot, I suggest you tell them to have a good long look at a snow bank and see what they have to say then!

Excellent scientific research, Bob! I can see those classes you've been taking in Flood Geology at Landover Baptist University under the tutelage of Professor Bessemer have been taking off!

Erosion is a myth perpetrated by atheist scientists. Like you so succinctly say in so many words: "How could water cut rock? It's not a blade!". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that water is a soft liquid that conforms to any solid around it. Pour water into a bottle. Does not the water become the shape of the bottle? But the atheists say that the water changes the shape of the bottle (and eventually destroys it), but anyone with 20/20 eyesight will tell you that is completely wrong!

Another way of disproving erosion is to examine the claims of atheist scientists that the Colorado river carved out the Grand Canyon over millions of years. If this were the case, wouldn't all rivers be at the bottom of a canyon? How come the world's biggest river, the Amazon, didn't create a canyon? Or the Nile, for that matter? There's so many rivers in flat territory, that this canyon-making-by-water argument, pardon the pun, doesn't hold water.

And the final blow to disproving erosion is to look at the oceans. They've been around for billions of years according to atheist scientists, right? So how come the oceans haven't been eroding the shore and eating up land then? In fact, there is so much water in the ocean (75% of the earth is ocean) that over that insanely long stretch of time, all the land on earth should be gone by now.

This is real science. These are facts.

As every Christian knows, the pseudoscience of hydrology is so filled with ridiculous assumptions that there isn't much room for water left! Now I know why evilutionists are such smelly and unshaven people: they never take a shower because they fear it will cut them to pieces, and they use a nose drop bottle for shaving purposes. And these people are employed as teachers!

The so-called Grand Canyon isn't unique or special like the scientists seem to think it is. There's plenty of similar places where we can tell today that a fountain of the deep was located, such as the Linville Gorge in North Carolina, or the Red Bluff in Mississippi.

Actually, Erosion is not a myth or pseudoscience concept in the slightest. It is something that happens everyday, all day and as been happening since rocks and water were adjacent to each other. Even though it may seem like water cannot cut rock, over a long time, water wears away the rock. Erosion is a natural process just like plants growing and the sun rising, to say it is a myth or untrue is simply ridiculous. It's like saying the grass is not green or people don't breathe oxygen.

Regarding the great flood, there was some sort of flooding in the past, I agree with you there, but it certainly did not cover the entire earth and it most likely occurred 5 to 7 thousand years ago, possibly before the universe was created according to many of the forum readers.

The story of Noahs ark is what many scholars call a "deluge myth." Many cultures and religions have them (http://home.earthlink.net/~misaak/floods.htm#Gaster). As are most stories in the bible, it is many peoples belief that they are merely folklore, written down, shared and passed on to tell a story or to teach a moral or lesson. To actually have a singular craft hold and feed all those animals is utter nonsense and completely impossible.

I'll provide one of many reasons as to why the tale of Noahs Ark is a fable: ow could the ark cope with all the specialised requirements of food/environment for millions of creatures? The 320 different species of humming-bird, for example, have very high metabolic rates and have to consume large amounts of nectar throughout the day. The Ark would have had to cater for 640 humming-birds, requiring an almost constant supply of fresh nectar. From flowers. Which wouldn't grow in great abundance in a dark, damp boat.

Other problems include waste management, animal temperament, etc.
