I've read all your posts, and as a Proud Portuguese I am I couldn't let this happen without giving you some knowledge about Portugal, Portuguese People and as I could notice, about Spain as well!

Portugal is a country situated in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula, being the westernmost country in Europe. Lisbon is our capital, being as well one of the biggest cities in the country. Lisbon is rich in History as any other city in Portugal, it’s impossible not to have places to visit and things to learn.
About weather, I can tell it's one of the warmest European countries.
Our Gastronomy is loved by all our tourists visiting Portugal from all the places in this world, and Macdonalds is far from being decent food, here or in any other place on earth! That's called "eating disorders", which as far as I'm concerned USA beats any other country.

Most of the population in our country is Catholic, worshipping Mary or any other saint is something that Catholics do, and the Pope recognizes that. The Pop himself has been in Fátima to worship Mary.
Also originally Portuguese people are Caucasian, but as in any other culture we have our mixed-races which doesn’t make them less Portuguese than me! I Believe Obama is as much American as any other Caucasian Person born in the USA.
Apart from the video about Mary, all the others were foreign videos, not even spoken in Portuguese Language!

I'm actually quite surprised by reading some of these posts.. americans know there is something beyond their own borders?!?!?!!?!?!?! This must be the work of satan!!
First, Portuguese people are lazy? Well, yes, some of us are just like there are lazy people anywhere else in the world.
Rude? some yes, again, just like anywhere else in the world.
Ugly, drug selling, alcoholics, whatever else sure, we have a few of them all as everyone else does. Even religious nuts that would make you all feel like you're at home!
The thing I find most amusing here is that anyone from the land of burger king has the nerve of saying absolutely anything about whatever country or culture at all, not only Portugal or the Portuguese people.
Unlike our culture which you can only have access to by visiting our country, yours has high visibility and we can have a little taste of it by just changing the channel or watching whatever movie. I just changed the channel to MTV and Teen Mom is on!! and Jersey Shore is next... can't wait. And I always complain there's never anything good on TV! I understand our culture is hard for you to understand and sink in to.. We don't have religious and political figures involved in gay sex and drug scandals, people can come to a hospital and not have to sell their houses for heart surgery, most of our people weigh less than 100Kg (thats how we sinners say 220 pounds), we have less than 2.02 strippers per capita and our rednecks don't live in trailer parks nor have sex with their siblings!! I know this blows your mind.. Us Portuguese have definetly lost our ways... oh the blasphemy..
I read something calling Portuguese people dumb as well?? That's a good one.. You know I actually work for an american company. Yup, I'm one of those damn foreigners taking your jobs overseas. You know why? Because in our universities we don't spend the day playing beerpong and having orgies (just ocasionally) and we're just smarter than you!
And now a message to who started all this..
Buddy, don't come back to Portugal, we don't need a second chance.
Next time for your vacation go pray away the crisis in a football stadium or slap a pig and watch it run around while you yell yeehaaaaa and put some more roadkill on the grill.

PS: I'm sure you would have loved it here if only you came to a town called Caldas da Raínha and got some of their traditional vases. You would've spent your whole vacation locked in your room I'm sure.

I´m not going to lower myself to most of the people on this topic. Has a sane and intelligent person, i rather feel good knowing that are some people that still have her mentalities stuck in the the rear part of the body.

I´m a proud Portuguese, i have visit several countries, USA among them. All countries are different. And all countries have bad people and good people. All countries have upsides and downsides. The problem here is to use something GOD gave us : A brain. Some of you should get one, it can do amazing things! The comparison to Spain is another hilarious part of this topic really... and reading this... it made me feel proud to be Portuguese, because ( and at least comparing to most of you ) it mean in far superior has a person.
