God is always consistent and His promises true. Ezekiel knew that God would restore His people to Jerusalem and that it would be a permanent restoration. This would be a particularly resonant message for Israelites under captivity in Babylon.

Which is exactly what happened. It is because Ezekiel's prophecy was fulfilled that we can be sure he was indeed a prophet of God and not just making stuff up because it sounded good. For his contemporaries obviously the prophesying would need to pass the test of Deuteronomy 18:22 to consider him a prophet and since they did consider Ezekiel to be a prophet we can be sure his prophecies were fulfilled. Earlier, about a century before, there had been a dreadful ruler called Manasseh who was into the astrology and witchcraft, enchantments, hanging out with wizards and familiar spirits. Sounds like a right little EMO.

1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem..
7 And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

Of course God's not going to take that lying down and they were all carted off to Babylon. Ezekiel made sure when they were there that they knew God would restore them to their home, which in fact He did. After all if God did not do that there would be no point considering the ravings of His prophets at all because that's all they would be. Ravings. Maybe by chance or by distorting history some random words could be interpreted as prophecy but that does not comply with Deuteronomy 18:22 does it? And sure enough The Temple was rebuilt.

When people ignore an agreement, whether an agreement with God or even with The United Nations, especially in combination with lethal force intended to exterminate one party involved they must think that the agreement never applied to them in the first place. Manasseh was like that. "God?" in effect he said. "Shmod! Bring on the witches baby, not too overdressed if you know what I mean.." yes I can just see the little wretch off his onion gawping at crystal balls it's just as well they hadn't invented bronies or else he'd probably have got a few of those along too. The source link at bottom gives all relevant dates but my point is what happened next. Who thought the agreement never applied to them in the first place? What happened as a result of their false belief? Don't take my word for it. Just compare what the US Dept. of State has recorded with PART I Section B10(b) of the UN document itself.

God is always consistent and His promises true. If it were not so should we even call Him God? Of course not. And the promise of a permanent restoration for His people to Jerusalem made all those years ago was fulfilled even as dry bones were resurrected, clothed with flesh and sinew, draped with skin and filled with breath, of God.

I'm fully behind Trump once again - someone had to stand up and do something. Sure, the "Debbie Downers" are in a titter about "peace" - but none of them can name a time when there has been "peace" with the "religion of peace".

To my mind the Jews have been entirely too tolerant of the mooselimbs - who built that mosque on the Temple Mount. It should have been blown up a long time ago, but hey - I'm not in charge over there.

We might have a little problem with getting the mooselimbs behind this. They're all waiting for the "12th Imam" (Muhammad al-Mahdi) to return, and depending on who you talk to he is either in hiding or hasn't been born yet. At any rate, al-Mahdi is supposed to arrive on the scene in the final "battle" for peace and justice for the mooselimbs.

Likewise, the Jews are still waiting for their "Messiah", and we Christians have been waiting far too long for Jesus to come back as He promised.

I say we light the whole thing off now and get it finally over with - even the atheists should be mildly curious to see which "god" is going to arrive.

Indeed, Brother. The first time God gave Palestine to the Jews, it involved a God Approved™ genocide of the original owners of the land. Palestinians should be happy this is not happening again today:

Brother Titus is right, they should find something useful to do - like becoming Christians, embracing capitalism, and getting rich. It would be wonderful if the heathens put away their idol and learned about God, as we have. Then they could prosper, too. The Bible is clear about the link between spiritual hygiene and prosperity. Although they arrive wherever they go under false pretences.—.sworn in their hearts to overthrow and replace the host community or at least to benefit from such an overthrow.—.and although nobody wants them, at least since they have arrived we get the opportunity to try. I doubt that the overthrowers themselves can ever be persuaded to give up the sword but those who seek to benefit, in the fulness of time, may be challenged to think and if they do that and see The Truth then they will defund the jihadis. But first we need to present to them the reality of Jesus and the falsehood of all delusions.

The principle is clear, material prosperity follows on from prosperity of the soul. Which is impossible for any idolator even though they say it isn't an idol and isn't the moon either. In which case it could be a crescent sun I suppose occurring in conjunction with a shooting star. That would put the willies up any superstitious types I bet indeed I will go beyond that, any such event would warrant the ab-dabs. Screaming ab-dabs! Then they would make an idol about it. Sure! It needs no comment from me to see what that means. Just read the statutes and commandments themselves. I've posted them for that reason. There are people (heathens) who claim these writings are corrupted. That over the years they've been distorted, added to, even fabricated they would inform us. Yet across centuries from the writings of Moses and the annals of Joshua to that advice given by King David to his son we are able to compare this "adulteration" for ourselves. The extreme poverty we see among idolators has a very simple solution. To recognise The Truth is never a loss. It is always a gain. Prosperity is possible but first you need to give something up. And that will not be a loss.
